Got a call from 602-575-2055, asked for my name, then the guy hang up the phone.  No idea what he was trying to do.

This number - 602-575-0525.  Called me twice last night at 12:30 AM!!!

I didn't answer.  Finally, turned off my phone to avoid any further calls.

Dear Readers:

I did not receive a call.  I recieved a text from (602)  575 - 5625 today Saturday November 14th, 2009 at 21:53 hours. That's 09:53 p.m.  The text reads.  Hey U. HOw R u JOhn? 'God's AwesOme'.  

I usually do not receive texts like this at all.  And I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know.  I usually wait until they leave a message and go from there.  Gathering the intel from many of the posts here on this site; it looks as though that this might be a phishing scam.

If you do not know what a Phishing Scam is I have included a link to help you out.  I believe that many of you that have posted your experiences are willing to educate and arm yourselves with knowledge and power.  This is just a way to do just that.  I despise anything that deals with Phishing and the toying with a consumer.  I encourage you all to be very wise consumers in regards to matters that deal with your personal information.

Anyways, moving along....I tried to remember this number...But for the life of me I could not. Perhaps they (the person who texted me the message) wanted me to call back, or perhaps text back inquiring who it is.  I went through my phone bills and have come across a few items that I was charged for without my permission even if it was for little things like this (by replying to a text message). *NOTE* Please be weary and alert and pay attention to these things as it can add up.  Just think of the millions of people who receieve messages or phone calls like this on a daily basis.  It adds up to alot of $$$$. I work hard for my money $$ and I am not about to be passive and let things like this go.

The message I received was  awkward because they got my first name correct, also my cell number, plus I reside in Arizona.  This area code of (602) is an Arizona, Phoenix area code which means it is originating from Arizona somewhere.  Arizona has many area codes for each town and city unlike other states within the U.S.  If anyone has anymore info on this matter please share.  This would greatly be appreciated.

We are still recieving calls from this gentleman. For us, it's always been a guy and i'd be willing to bet the same guy each and every time. I did hang up on his once and he had the nerve to call back and argue with me on why i hung up on him. Told him, he didnt wanna give me the reason for his call, he does not get to speak to the owner. After much cusing back and forth i gave up on the guy. Since the, I recognize the number each time he call and i answer as i usually would, but when he asks to speak to the owner, i put him on hold .... on a LONG hold ... we'll as long as he's willing to hold really and wait for him to hang up.

I got calls since 7 AM. They had never called our previuos old number. Since our  number is new due to relocation of office, I looks as they are calling all new busineses and /or new numbers.  To what purpose ? I do not know but I do not like it.  Always ask for the business owner.  We had a woman and three men. All American.

Strange male caller with latino accent says, "I wanna talk to the owner?" and if I ask him any questions he hangs up immediatly. Spark NV.  New home subdivision.

I'm also a new company and received a call from this number. It does sound like a noisy marketing call center in the background. I told him it was a bad connection and to call back. I then dialed *69, got the # and was unable to get through.

Call from this number asking for the owner of the company. I responded  to add this number to your do not call list and don't call back again.  The guy on the phone said ok, I'll call back later and hung up

I WAS READING THE OTHER POSTS AND NOTICED THAT FOR MOST OF US WE ARE NEW COMPANIES.  WE HAVE ONLY HAD PHONES FOR ABOUT 2.5 WEEKS.   I WONDER WHAT IT IS WE HAVE IN COMMON  THAT ALL OF US GET THESE CALLS?   ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU TELL THEM YOU'RE THE OWNER?   I HAVE CONSIDERED IT.  JUST NOT WITH THE REAL OWNERS NAME.   OF I AM THE OWNER. ;)

WE HAVE BEEN GETTING CALLS BOTH HANG UP AND ASKING FOR OWNER FOR WEEKS NOW.  I HAVE MULTIPLE LINES AND THEY CALL ALL THREE!!!!!  SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.   ONE GUY WAS SUCH A JERK.  HE WAS ALL.... "YEAH IS THE OWNER THERE?"  I ASKED WHO WAS CALLING AND HE SAID "I WANNA TALK TO THE D***ED OWNER."  YESTERDAY SOMONE CLAIMING TO BE A WOMAN BY THE NAME OF SABRINA CALLED AND WHEN I ASKED WHAT COMPANY SHE HUNG UP ON ME.

The phone rings, and it's a number that I've been receiving one or two hangups from every day since we moved.  (About 2 weeks ago) But this time there is someone on the line.  It's very noisy in the background, so I start to think it might be a call center.  The person asks to speak to the owner.  So I ask if I may please know who is calling.  

The guy says: "Why does that matter to you?  I want to speak to the owner!"  

So I say: "Well, I am his secretary, and that is my job.  I am meant to announce who is on the line when I transfer calls to him."  

He says:  "All I want is to speak to the owner."  

Then I say:  "Well, if you would just give me your name, and the company you're calling from, I will transfer you to him."  

He argues back and forth for a minute or two.  Then he says:  "I'll just call back another time when you're not there!   *insert sound made when you stick out your tongue to someone*" Then he hung up!

same as the others. We have a new business and the number they are calling is the one that is listed. We started receiving the calls as we placed our ficitious name and published our new company. They must hunt these numbers down and solicit. I have not picked up as I do not recognize the number and knew it was a AZ code. After reading the other posts I definitely won't answer as it looks like a dodgy fraudulent scheme.

He called, asked to speak to the owner.  When pressed for info he said he was in marketing.  When pressed more, he kept asking to speak to the owner.  Eventually he got mad, said get the wax out of your ears and hung up.

received phone call. indentified business.  They never answered.  Dead air.  then I heard a couple of clicks.  So I hung up.

I got a call from this number from a man asking to speak to the owner of the business. When I asked if I could have him call him back that he would be in later he said that is ok I will try back later. I entered the number thinking it'd be another business, but this came up. Also recalled the number to ask name/company and "lines were busy". Its either a pest call since its based out of AZ or something. Kinda odd so many reports are on this guy. (not sure if everyone is getting a male when they call but anyhow.

same as above... It was so noisy.  they asked for the owner and my companies name.  When I advised them I could hear them because of all the noice they said they would call back and so far no calls.

I looked up the info on them at US Search - First time i've paid for information like this. But after reading everyones issues here i thought hell with it, im gonna spend the 14.95 to see what i get .... no surprise here. The name is blocked.

Recieved a call today from this number. He shouted "IS THE OWNER IN?" ... it was so loud i didnt fully understand it at the moment and said "Excuse Me?" .... he hung up. It was very loud in the background as well, although i coudlnt tell if it was cell phone interference or background noise.

I called the number back and i get a long pause then the recorded phone company message comes on to say "All circuts are busy now, please try your call later, 075P" .... which also had much interference. This is the second hang up today. I wonder if the two are related ... the first was unfortunatly a "private number" and "private name" ..... are they using us somehow?

Called and asks for  owner by name. I could hear other  people in back ground.  There was a man  saying  to someone else . Hey this is fun  silly pepole hiring us inmates to make calls...lots of noise and then  a lot od spanish speaking  then another  lang  i did not understand then  they began to cuss in  english ......i lay the phone down on the counter and took to making  noise around the  phone ..they were still on the line when I picked it up  they thanked me for staying so long on phone  because  they needed the time??????????????????? are they using the 800 number s to reroute  over seas calls  or internet  use ??????????????????????

Received a call and they hung up.  I called back and received a fast busy signal.  There are so many of us.  Does anyone know how to contact Paul Harvey?  He might be interested in pursuing it.

they have been calling everyday now for about a week you can never hear anyone on there when you ask who you are talking to the line goes dead

PERSON CALLS AND ASKS FOR ME BY NAME WHEN I ASK FOR NAME AND NUMBER THEY HANG UP.

A lot of noise in the back.  She asked for me by name and I asked who she was and she replys a first name I don't catch and a last name of Sanchez.  Then says okay bye and hangs up on me.  She was extremly rude.

This guy called and asked for the owner by first name only - when I told him the owner was not in he simply hung up.  He was rude as other people have reported and we are also on the "do not call" list.

We just opened a new company and we get atleast 15 calls a week from these losers. Allmost all hang-ups. Luckily they always call from the same number, we are going to block them.

I've received no fewer than a dozen calls from this guy to my business.  I believe he is also calling my cell phone - "Unknown caller".  Never leaves a message. Usually hangs up as soon as I say "hello".  Has on a couple of occasions asked for the "owner", then hangs up as soon as I ask what is is about.  Today I kept asking for his name.  He said, "Andy Johnson".  I asked him to say it again.  He said, "have you got a hearing problem, I said Andy Johnson".  Told him to kiss my ____, then I hung up.  Has anyone found out who his carrier is????
