Got this call today in our emergency department. Whenever I get telemarketers, I always try to speak to a human or get a number to call back later and tell them how dangerous it is to be calling our emergency number since someone could die since they've got our line all tied up.

Got the number off the CID, called back, and was given an option to wait for a callback or add my number to their Do Not Call list, which I did.

Hope it works.

Receiving these types of phone calls where you're just getting an automated message is extremely annoying.  More annoyed because of the fact that my phone # is on the National Do Not Call Registry.  The call was for some kind of credit.  As if anyone would accept credit from a cold-call, unknown source!!!

Who/What company is this?

This annoying number keeps coming accross on my "fax machine ring tone" (it's a separate ring tone/phone number that I pay Verizon $5.00 a month for so that my fax machine knows to pick up when I'm not home (rather than paying for a separete dedicated phone line, $35.00 per month, to hook up my fax machine).  So far "they" (who ever they are) haven't been able to get through, but how do I make them parmanently go away?

PS,  I've also been having the same problem with "630-689-2849" (caller ID identifies them as "Family Plan").  

I just got this new "ring-tone" from Verizon very recently and am thinking about calling them and requesting a new Ring Tone Number, except for the fact that I just had brand new buisness cards printed up and circulated with my new fax number (they have only been circulated to my clients in the Richmond VA area).

apparently I "won" a trip to Florida for $399. whatever. does anyone know how Canadians can get on the Do Not Call Registry - I tried to do it online but it would only accept American area codes??

I received a message from this number today regarding a health savings plan.

Guy named Jason - offering $250,000 line of credit Yeah right!  I don't think so....

Call received on Oct. 4, 2007 at 0717 my local time.

I have ATT CallVantage and I have been adding their numerous numbers to my call blocker feature and so far below are the numbers I have collected from these annoying individuals. I keep adding their numbers to call blocker and they keep calling from different numbers. Hopefully they don'd have an unlimited supply of numbers. I guess if I keep records I can use it against them in a court of law once it  becomes harassment.

I am so tired of these calls.  The phone rings and no one is there.  I am on the Do Not Call list and I still get these calls about three times a week.

Just received call as I was making another one so I picked up (mistake) and the person answered said "oh I'm sorry, wrong #" and this was at 8:30pm EST.  Now really wishing I had not picked up.

Received telephone call on business cellular telephone number from 602.624.2531.  It is company policy not to answer telephone calls from unknown or non-business related callers.

I received several calls from other long distant #'s and I never answered them because I didn't know who they were and they did not leave a message - they were not from this #, however, I received an email from powerjobapp.com and it was an offer for a Sr Accountant for Pepsico.  I did go ahead and put in for it, but like I said, I never answered these calls - they were from #'s like 213-325-3204, 949-258-8092, and 949-258-8087.  Well, last night my husband called me and said Don from 602-624-2531 called me to set up an interview, so I thought this may be legitimate, well, I called it and all it says is "Hi, if you are calling because you missed our call, hang up and we may call you back, if you do not want to be on their calling list, enter your 10 digit number and the # sign.  I hung up - I called Pepsico to see if they have a third party that hires for them and they said no they did not, it was probably a scam.

Second phone hours later. Did not answer. Very odd and annoying.

called at 9 PM. When I said hello, a human said "I am sorry I must have the wrong number" and hung up. But for the above reports on this message board, I would have thought it was a genuine wrong number episode.

This is a scam call.  These people have called for everything from research projects to fraudulent billings for office supplies and building maintenance.  Sort of like an online phishing scam.  Also sent faxes asking to sell the business.

This number called and of course I let the machine pick up.  Of course, they hang up.  There has to be something we can do to get these &^%$!  Same number, different "companies"!? yeah...right.  I think it's a scam.

I usually don't answer calls i don't know but i did this time! I said hello twice and the --- just hung up in my ear. Guess i should have checked on this # before picking up!!

Just got another call from this number - they call on my work number.  Never leave a message.  And I sure don't bother to pick up the phone either.

those sons of b**ches call my house 5 times a damn day im tired of it so one day i answered and said joes road kill caffia u kill it we grill it! they got pissed and hung up and then they called back so i answered and said city morgue u kill em we clean em. lol they stoped calling after that.   f****rs

Greg called, allegedly from some non-profit entity, informing me that I had been preapproved for a reduced credit card rate.  Not a new loan or refi.  Left a callback number (which I didn't write down) and please have my credit card bills handy.

It says out of area - I do not know anyone with that area code - so I did not bother to pick up - plus they called on my work number.  They left no message.
I get so sick of these calls.  I think I would be better just using my cell phone and not have a phone number nor a business number. Right now no one calls on my cell with these stupid calls.

called 10:30am on Sept.20.  If this # is for credit cards, health insurance, etc. and calling from Arizona, they are wasting their time calling me in Canada...
