I received a call and voicemail message from this number.  It was a very pleasant woman, who turned out to be a registered nurse from Optim, our health care network, just calling to discuss health programs available to my family and me for our various conditions.  She left a call back number - toll free.

Left a message saying they are a debt. collector but didn't say for who. Trans world system  I htnk is what isnsaying.

Got a call and answered. The caller was breaking up, but said she was from Cable One, and she was testing their phone system. She said another customer was having trouble so she wanted to test the phone line. Then she hung up before I could get a word in edgewise.

Caller ID says Penelope Bach, answered was a recorded message with male voice talking about a carpet cleaning deal, said to leave your name & number & they'd call me back

So funny story for you...I received a phone call from TV Guide magazine the other day. They were looking for my grandfather whom wasn't home at the time..wouldn't let me get a word in edge wise so I did what I do to EVERY telemarketer; i hung up the phone..2 seconds later the phone rang again and it was the woman from TV Guide magazine and proceeded to harass me. Telling me she spoke with my grandfather and started calling me a liar and such. Who the f*&k does that? All because I wanted to let them know to stop calling my home?? Unprofessional and quite rude to be honest..

Same crap, they still are in business annoying people. Currently me. Today. GO AWAY.

This is a line for University of Phoenix. They prey on people from all sorts of Internet applications such as employment sites, etc. I finally got a hold of a very pleasant young lady and let her know that 19 consecutive hang up calls from their number was just rediculous and unnessary for any type of solicitation and to remove my number from their call lists. I was told it would take up to 24 hours for processing. Hope this helps everyone.

Whoever this is on the other end, if you are reading this then you are hereby notified that you are violating the dnc list, and you need to cease these calls immediately. You are being reported to the fcc, and I have also traced the origin of your calls and am investigating everyone that is involved from the name that the carrier listed as the primary account holder and all the way down to the bottom feeder who I am guessing may be you.
So keep calling and wasting both your and my time with whatever you are trying to accomplish, so all that can be documented to your local police dept. and you and your co-conspirators will be charged accordingly as this number has already been logged into my personal computer under an unknown caller/intention category!

#1 Never give your personal and finanacial information to any unknown caller or for any call that you DID NOT initiate as you can become a victim of identity theft/fraud!!!

#2 If you are experiencing harassing phone calls CONTACT your phone service provider and/or your local authorities especially if the calls become threatening.

#3 Normally the *57 call tracing method is only effective in your local calling area, but other methods are available to track "idiots" like these people, but you have to notify "us" to assist you, and the phone company without enough motivation will only do so much for you.

#4 Worse comes to worse some people consider having their number changed, however, for people like myself who have had the same number established for many years and with too many contacts to notify that may not be an option so I would advise my previous 3 steps for you.

Man called and asked for a name of someone I don't know and never heard of.  I asked where he got the number from to correct these calls and he was a wise-a** and told me the "information operator" gave it out and slammed the phone down.  After googling the number I found it attached to the above supposed legal firm that debt collects and called them directly at 800 370 2251.

I explained what took place, this was the third time someone called after my initial verbal cease and decist to them calling my number for someone we don't know, and if another call was made I would fill out an FTC complaint.  She was very apologetic, took ownership, and swore I'd never get another call as she was "adjusting this person's file we have on record."

Only time will tell.

Said he was calling about my Guidepost subscription.  Told him I had renewed my subscription and he wanted to know when, for how long, etc.   I finally hung up, but this has happened before.  Tired of gettting these calls. Want them to stop.

I answered and nobody was there as if it were a computer-dialed call.

Received a call today from this number after saying hello twice I heard a click then a woman came on the line and askede for me by name. She wanted me to renew my Enquirer subscription at a deeply discounted price which made me suspicious as she also wanted my credit card info. Then there were 2 clicks and the call disconnected. I immediately called the Enquirer number listed in thier mag to verify. I was informed they do not make calls and do not honor any renewals done in this fashion. I gave them the number to research. This is definately a scam to get credit card or banking info!!!

If you have Comcast digital voice, the steps to block are easy.
dial #60, and the prompts are easy.  You will be prompted first to turn call block on.
Then you will hear the prompt to add a number.  Then you go through several prompts until you hear "exit" and you are done!

what is up with these phone calls today? not only on land line but cell phone. just in the last half hour or so i have gotten several phone calls from different numbers. this one said on caller id wireless caller so with out looking at number i picked it up thinking it was from grand kids. hung up when i found out it was someone i did not know

JUNK MAGAZINE SCAMMERS!

First call on 8-23-11 Caller ID was "PHOENIX    AZ"

Second call on 10-21-11 Caller ID was "WIRELESS CALLER"

got this phne call ear;y this AM they asked for someone  that had the phone number about two years ago.    I gave the message that no one lives here by that name and stop calling or you will be paying me $500. for each time you keep calling me.  So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

4 calls recently.  No idea who or what they are.  Reporting them does no good.

This number keeps calling my home phone several times a week & call disconnects (hangs-up) as soon as I pick up the phone.  I am thinking it probably originates from an auto-dialer.  When I try to call the number back, I get a message of "Your call cannot be completed as dialed".  My caller ID shows the number with "unavailable" as the name.  My phone company says they cannot block or trace the number due to the fact that it shows as "unavailable".  I am so frustrated at running to get the phone & finding it is that number calling AGAIN!

SCAM SCAM SCAM - they keep calling about me renewing a magazine.  When you try to call the number back, it is a fast busy.  He/she calls frequently - same message.

09/02/11 @ 12:51pm; not the first time they've called.  I picked up on the 3rd ring, said "Hello" several times and waited; the other end just hung up.  They never answer, you can't call them back.

Found this number on my caller ID. We have had magazine subscription types call us before. They make the magazines themselves look bad and probably cause them to lose business. I'll bet the real people who are employed by the magazines catch a lot of hell from people who can't tell the difference between them and the imposters.

Received a call this evening from this number.  The person started into a sales pitch for Guidepost magazine.  Well, in July and August 2009, a different number in the 303 area code was calling repeatedly trying to sell us extensions of a Guidepost subscription.  The come-on is that the caller states that the price is about to go up, and that if we order now over the phone, we will beat the price increase.  Well, we do not choose to renew except by u.s.mail and personal check.  This is a fraudulent outfit.  As soon as we stated on the phone line that we did not wish to renew now, the caller hung up with a louder click in our ears.
