I had the same people call & did the same thing. I actually liked the magazines they were offering so thought it would be cool to get 3 months free. Our gift card never came but we got our 1st InStyle magazine today. I NEVER do stuff like this & will never do it again! I've called them for the past 4 weeks. Trying to find out where my gift card was since they took out $2.95 from my Husbands account(We don't use it very often so we've watched it closely to see if anything strange happened.). My phone calls have gone from...Oh..I'm sorry I'll get that sent out, I'm not sure what your talking about, we never had that promotion, he's not in(Derek Sheperd the guy who called us), I'll call you back in an hour, I've been hung up on I don't know how many times, I've been put on hold I don't know how many times, transferred to I don't know how many people, told the manager is @ lunch every time I call, & THE BEST ONE....A lady acted like she didn't speak English. However today I got them!! I call yet again to find what's going on. They told me they've been trying to call cause the promotion has ended & I needed to pay $4.99 to get $1000.00 in "Vouchers" that I could use at 50 different national retail chains. I asked him what do you mean by "Vouchers" there like coupons you use at certain stores? He told me that it's like cash on a card that these retailers want people to use at there stores to try out their products. I argued w/him over the fact the took money told us we would get something in return & now they are saying they CAN'T REFUND or SEND ORIGINAL GIFT. I asked for the number to call & cancel the magazines & he told me he didn't have it. Well...I let him have it! I told him we would be reporting their fraud & theft by deception. I would prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, I would go public w/what they are doing, & if there was anyway to bring a class-action lawsuit against them we would. He told me to have fun w/that. I told him that he took advantage of my Husband & I. We are both disabled, lived on fixed incomes, raising our infant granddaughter, help w/our other 2 young grandchildren, & that I would make it a priority to find others who have been victims as well. So if he thought for one minute the press & everyone else wouldn't love to report about this. He was sadly mistaken! He quickly started telling on him self w/different stories, contradicting himself, & his Middle Eastern Accent went away. When I called him out on it he finally said "just let me give you the number to cancel the magazines" If anyone needs it the number to cancel them is 877-645-6809 It's an automated system & is extremely easy to use! There are a couple of ways to look up your account & once you've canceled all your magazines it will give you a reference number as confirmation & the date it was cancelled. I hope this is help to someone!!!

Yes, I got a call from them, too.  I fell for it since I am one who participates in many surveys.  Guess I better cancel my card.  Caller name was "Tom".  He asked 4 questions about online shopping preferences. Said they would charge $2.95 to cover shipping for Walmart or Target gift card.  I did give my card # (never have done this).  Then he let me choose 3 magazines to try for 3 months.  He did not ask for any other bank info, or I would have said no.  Then called my bank and they suggested closing my acct.  I am going to watch the activity online the next few days and see if they pull out $2.95.  Then I am going to cancel the card and order a new one.  Bank said I can report it as fraud and get $$$ back, but it's a process.  Tom said they are called Loyalty Rewards, located on Clearwater Beach Rd in Tampa, Fla.  He also gave me a 1-800 phone number to cancel my magazines if I want to.  It did go to an  Magazine Co.: www.magazineoutlet.com.  800-607-9869.  He said they are a legit company and they deal with several different promotional and marketing companies.  He said allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of card and magazine.  I'm going to watch, wait, and see!

These companies are wasting my time at work calling a cell phone that is on the government DO NOT CALL LIST.  If I had my way, I'd take a sledgehammer to their call center and destroy all of their phone lines and robo-calling computers!!!!!  Then I would put the people on a boat and send it out into the middle of the ocean somewhere!!!!!   ARE YOU LISTENING?????  Try running an ETHICAL business, why don't you!!!!

I got this call too and no message.

If you're a Verizon customer you can log into your account (www.vzw.com) and click on block unwanted calls.  For free you can block up to 5 numbers.  The block automatically expires after 90 days which is usually long enough for these solicitors to have rolled over to a new number several times!

It's a robo dialer.  Offers you $50 WalMart gift card if you answer three questions and $2.95 for shipping and handling.

If you agree, you are patched to a live operator on a bad connection.  The questions:  Do you like product guarantees (I said, not important).   Do you like try before you buy (I said, not important).  Do you like free gifts to try (I said, no).

I wanted to pay the shipping and handling fee online.  When I asked for the company website since I was NOT about to give this guy my c/c info, the guy hung up on me.  I probably disqualified myself by my answers anyway.

Never got around to hearing what overpriced, stupid product they were selling since the guy hung up on me.

Everything about the operation screams SCAM and RUN.

it's a scam. they want a credit card number or a debt card number to charge you the shipping and handling fee for the Wallmart gift card the say they will send you for answering a few questions. well if you give them those numbers, let's see, 50 bucks for 5 dollars, sounds too good to be true. it is! it's just like giving your number to anyone on the street. lot's of poor, dumb, saps, fall for this kind of thing. nothing but a scam.

Well, they wanted to send me some free money.  Then, they wanted to charge me a dollar & that is where I figured that I best just pass on the offer of $50 in Walmart cards.  That dollar charge may result in some additional charges and well, I can't afford to pay my other bills and child support and mustache wax for my big ol' bigote so I best just pass on the opportunity.  I always like to get what I can for "free" and it sounds like one of the scams I pull to get people to do stuff for free for me.

I received a similar call from Loyalty Rewards. The robocall said it was Shawn and if I stayed on the phone and took a three minute survey I would get the $50 Walmart card. Press 2 to be removed from their list. I pressed two, we'll see how it goes. My call came from 317-238-3027.
