An Automatic Recording called me by my first and last name this morning at 8:10am  stating that Kelly Smith needed to speak to me

The name of the organization is Convergent Outsourcing. The company is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has more that 525 registered complaints. The organization allegedly practices outside established debt-collection law as outlined by the THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT. They are also alleged to be a scam. Beware!

Called and asked for by name. Asked who they were and they said Convergent Outsourcing. Asked what they wanted and they said they could not tell me until I verified who I was and verified my last 4 SSN. Hung up on them.

I received a call for my wife using her maiden name.  This made it obvious that this call was from a junk collection company.  These companies rely on the stupidity of the public.  They buy debt that was charged off by the original creditor for pennies on the dollar.  All they need to do is get you to acknowledge the junk debt that was bought by them on tape and if they are successful they can legally collect your money for the debt that was already off your credit report.  Don't ever speak on one of these calls, not even to complain or tell them to f*** off.  These jizz bags will violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act if you agree to settle for usually less then 50% of the original debt, why you may ask?  Because you are legally responsible for 0% of the debt because it is 7 years old or more and has already been forgiven.  

When I answered no one responded. I called 602.734.0846 back and spoke to a male (Peter) who stated the name of the organization is Convergent Outsourcing.

Received call, called number back and received automated message, "your call is very important to us..."  No identification and I did not wait for someone to answer.

There is a message that is played upon answering this call indicating that a representative wishes to speak to "(my name").  After waiting for several seconds, no one comes on the line.  I receive at lease two of these calls per day.

I get at least two calls a day from this number.  No one is there when I answer, and they never leave messages.
