Extremely rude man from Imperial Bank called demanding to speak to the owner. Wouldn't say what it was for. When I requested that he state why he was calling he said "I know you don't have much time so I'll get to the point. I'm from Imperial Bank calling to offer you a small business loan...." At this point I interrupted him and asked if he was soliciting us. When he said yes I told him not to call us again.

I've read some of the other comments, but none are effective and it is much easier to simply purchase the new phones with "Call Black" instead of getting yourself all upset because telemarketers will continue to call as long as people respond---and obviously there is enough to warrant these bloody  unwanted time-wasters to continue to prey on many folks who have no desire for their services.      There is a software also available from Parliant Corp which I use.  All  calls enter your computer  (they also furnish you with an interface).   You can then simply program the software to block any number you wish to "block"  and send THEM a message.  It comes with a built in message which states "This call is blocked. All further attempts will be deleted".   You can also substitute the generic message with  any phone company standard message available on the web via google search.   There are some novel  operator messages (all of which are prerecorded by actual phone companies in the US) such as,  " Your call can not be completed due to an earthquake in the area".  That is one of the more colourful types.  Unfortunately,  I am not certain if the computer phone software/hardware is still available (it's name is  " Phone Valet" from Parliant  company).   However, there are also automatic phone blockers available at Amazon.  These permit trusted callers but reject any call you don't wish to answer.  You only need to enter the number once.   Respectfully Submitted,  Dr. K

I got a caller ID from this number so I tried to call it back. 602-753-5641

The voice that answered said it was Michael, was obviously a computer/robotic voice, and asked to speak to the owner of the company. Remember, I CALLED THEM!

Called Imperial Bank today (04/12/2013) in Arizona.  They merged with Comerica several years ago, but Imperial Bancorp apparently still exists, with offices in Phoenix and Inglewood, CA.  Lady answered claiming Imperial doesn't telemarket for anything or to any outside companies for business.  Was concerned about the representation made implying call was from Imperial.

Claimed would contact their marketing department (Wait!  She said they don't telemarket???) and have someone get back to me.  So, do they market or not?  Do they telemarket or not?  Not sure and couldn't get a straight answer.

The guy who called here tried to sell Mastercard & Visa services, which is something we never have a need for.  Michael Van Horn was idenfied.  Hard to tell if he was actually calling from Phoenix or from their Inglewood office with a spoofed number.  No one in Phoenix had heard of Michael Van Horn.

Calling the number back only resulted in Dead Air.

Same as the other folks, but I asked him if he was a robot, and he answered "No, I'm a real person." but other questions got answered with a response that didn't quite fit.  It's like it's a robot, or a human with no voicebox making the calls with a speech unit that is programmed with about 20 responses to predictable questions.  And so if you ask a question that doesn't quite fit the 20, they have no good answer.  The same robot answers when you dial back, so I did so about 100 times to drive HIM crazy, since that is what is happening to me.

Got the same call from Imperial Bank and he asked to speak with the owner. I told him to hold on and went and grabbed my AIRHORN then I BLASTED this TOOL. It's time to unite and fight this crap. Do everyone a favor and go to your local boat, or discount store and get one. When all these callers, who do IGNORE THE DO NOT CALL LIST, BLAST THEM IN THE EARS. I'm real sure that we can STOP THIS IN IT'S TRACKS.
Join the fun and get rid of these types of UNWANTED CALLS!!

AIRHORN, AIRHORN, AIRHORN!!! CHANT IT OUT LOUD!! AIRHORN, AIRHORN, AIRHORN!!!

This is "Imperial Bank".  Supposed small business loan experts.  I informed them that since we now know their identity we will be reporting the company and the number.

another card processing scam, today using the caller ID of PROCESSING.
If they were legitimate with nothing to hide, they would call from a traceable number and give you contact information when you ask, instead they hang up on you.

Wow, I experienced the same thing as many others here. Seeing the caller ID, I answered it as an answering service. Sounded like a processed voice prompted by whatever it hears, and there's a delay in its response. Male voice, name is Michael Van Horn. Sounded crystal clear like a computer.

If "it" calls back again, I plan to have a little fun with it.

"Processing" and the number is what showed up on the caller ID.

I answered the phone and pretended to be in the credit card processing biz.  The caller couldn't even comprehend what I was saying, he just replied to my questions with insisting that he speak to the owner of my business.

Spoofed Numbers: Caution, 602-753-5641 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.

A "Michael" calls from this number as "Imperial Bank".  Have asked him to stop calling our business and he has gotten rude with several employees and continues to call back.  This is probably a telemarketer worker who is just trying to look busy, but calls the same set of numbers so he doesn't have to process any orders.
Either that or a scammer that is not good enough at his job to realize he needs to call new numbers if he wants to scam new people.
