She tried to continue the pitch and was told to take the number off her list or face the FCC and hung up. (BTW, I use electrolux and love it - best machines ever made)

The sad part is that Don Burkhardt AKA Mr. Miller changes his company name and moves locations every couple years to avoid facing lawsuits regarding the corrupt business tactics and bad name he's given the Kirby Co. He will always just pay the fines he gets hit with and continue doing business the same way he did before....its all about $ for this a**hole! He has screwed many loyal employees whom obviously dont continue to work for him once they are a victim of his tyrant ways! Obviously the people defending him have been paid just enough to keep them selling kirbys for him until he finds someone to replace them and screws them too! they came to my house on the 17th of october and they were great. very nice people and they showed me my wind tunnel was worthless even though it was new. i bought a kirby for $2200 and love it, i would have paid more it does everything they said it does. the girl kim was very spunky and she even came back a week later at no charge to show me how to use it again.

Kim promptly showed up to the door with a gray case.... introduced herself and said she was here to clean the carpets. I'm a fast talker (IT guy) but this lady was speedy. Barely caught anything she had to say. As she demonstrated the Kirby features we allowed our 1 year old to ransack her stuff. Our 5 year old to ask questions 5 year olds ask. :)

We sensed a high pressure sales pitch coming so we started to show disinterest. I was actually working from home and it was nap time for the baby. So we were trying to hurry her along. When we told her the $2199 price tag was too much she quickly jumped on the phone to speak to an imaginary Mr. Miller which she reduced the price to $1499 then to selling us the demo for even better and better terms.

At one point she even offered us a silly friends and family discount. All along the way she would'nt tell me a %. She kept writing on those stupid filters. At one point I had to get some things done and couldn't get rid of them so my wife suggested they head across the street to Target to buy an EYECLOPS. Yea during the presentation my 5 year old looked at the dirt with an EYECLOPS. Sorry if they start using them on the sales calls to your house. :)

When they got back Kim and Shane walked in and I told them I'd have to pass. By the way Shane walked in with discount EYECLOPS. :) Anyway Kim’s attitude started to change and she actually ripped up a written contract we made her write and left it near our front door with an empty Pepsi can and a dirty towel she used to clean the machine. As she walked out to yelled for Shane several times.

What a joke. I am writing this up because they ripped off about 4 hours of my day. I'll have to admit we were impressed with the Kirby cleaning power but the shampooing was horrible. She kept mentioning most carpet cleaning companies simply shampoo the dirt in the carpet because they use under powered vacuums. Interesting when they got to shampooing our carpets they did the exact same thing. They didn’t vacuum prior. And my carpet is still wet several hours later. AVOID these people.

I received a call the other day from Rhino Kirby West in Phoenix Arizona they promised they were a new company trying to get the word out about their carpet cleaning services. They asked if they could set an appointment to clean two rooms for free. I figured I?d sit through a demo for about an hour and get my carpet cleaned for free, so I agreed.

Michael Thomas showed up to the door with a gray case.... he was poorly groomed but well spoken introduced himself and said he was here to clean the carpets. After the fast talking demo we sensed a high pressure sales pitch coming so we started to show disinterest. He was in my house for almost 2 hours wasting my time, he even called his Imaginary Manager on the phone which he reduced the price from $2199 to $1499 then to selling us the demo for even better and better terms.

After an unrelenting sales pitch Mike walked up to me and I told them I'd have to pass. By the way he looked at me, I could tell he was upset, but who wouldn?t be it?s 110 degrees out here in Phoenix and he is lugging this equipment door to door.  As he walked out he gave me this very evil look, I?ll never forget it.  The way he looked at me seemed very threatening. He seemed like a very angry and disturbed man. Allow me to shed some light on this.  This guy ?Donald Burkhardt? is a real gem.  Actually; he?s a jerk as you can tell by his replies.

The phone call is to schedule an appointment to Sell you a Kirby Vacuum cleaner.  They never tell you that.

Oh and ?Mr. Miller? does not even exist!!! It is another one of their tools they use to try and pressure you into buying the vacuum. Its is all a lie; they spend an hour or two trying to sell it then if you don?t buy they call ?Mr. Miller? and pretend to be asking for a special onetime deal.  They do this over and over until you say yes or kick them out of your house. They continue to do this and keep reducing the price until it is less than half of the original quote.  The Fake Mr. Miller is supposed to be sympathetic to the salesman who is trying to win a contest.  What a Crock!

Bottom line, Don?t let them in your house, don?t schedule an appointment and don?t even be polite to them as they have no respect for the customer at all.
