I agree. I get calls like this on a daily basis on the WORK phone too. I dont answer any area code I dont recognize. If its important they'll call the other number for the tow company I work for and THEY'll call me. I answered one of these stupid calls once and it was followed by FIVE more calls just like it. Dont pick up people! Once you answer theyll just keep calling and calling and calling...etc. Theyre annoying buggers who need to find a REAL job and stop taking up the time of those of us trying to work a real job.

It's a "Honey Pot" - they call your number hoping you call back and provide link data (caller ID). They then list your info in directories they sell to debt collectors and offshore robo callers - especially if you're unlisted.

They leave a voice mail at earsplitting volume . . . "press 1 to . . . " and it cuts off after 3 words. Not very effective marketing.

Pressing 1 does not do anything. Pressing 9 does not do anything. Calling the number back "Sorry the number you have reached is not in service" does not do anything. This is pure harassment. What is the point of calling me?

Caller ID said "Arizona" so I assumed it was a legitimate call. As soon as I picked up I heard a fast talking recorded female voice saying to press 1 to have my Google listing updated. It also said to press 9 if I wanted to be removed, which I did and it said "thank you" and disconnected.
While I have had the Google update scam call from other numbers, I have not had it from this one yet.
