I had this happen too. No, it's pretty shady to  get a note at your door with  no explanation. I have no idea what it was about but he had the wrong person. Creepy.

Maybe you should of gave him the street name and find out what it was about instead of running, sounds pretty shady on your end!! He was already there, so what difference does it make?

Found a note on a torn envelope shoved in my door with my address written on it and a note to "call John @ 602-882-6301 ASAP!"

"This is John, is how the phone was answered. I mentioned that I had a note on my door asking me to call. I was asked to provide my street name so he could pull up my account. I asked what company John was with and was told Western International. I asked what this was regarding and was told I needed to provide my address so that John could pull up my account information. I hung up on him.
