Someone called asking if I were an adult. Told them not to call here again and remove me from any list they are using. Caller said he wasn't using a list and wanted to talk to an adult to do a survey. Said I was an adult but I didn't want to participate and not to call again. He started asking questions about smoking and I hung up. I've seen this number on our caller ID before and my son said that they call but just hang up.

Have been receiving 2+ calls a day for a week or so, including weekends. No message. Tried calling back the # and received "the call cannot be completed as dialed" message. I didn't hear the "1053" as another report describes. I will try reporting this to ATT on Monday, Sept 17. I'm not sure they care, but it will just add to my list of reasons to get rid of them!
Dana Wedincamp 2011-06-06 20:52:08 Unknown
They are never there when I answer and never leave a message when they get the machine. Ive been told companies do that to keep you on thier cll list but what company is it!!!
sharon 2011-06-06 20:52:08 Unknown
calls frequently
Max 2011-06-06 20:52:08 Unknown
They have called me non-stop this weekend. I've tried calling the number and got a recording that stated "You have reached a non-working number". I guess it only works to call out.
Ron 2011-06-06 20:52:08 Unknown
I have been receiving calls from this number for a while now. I agree with the above comment made by Connie regarding ATT. They are just as bad about making these types of annoying calls. Have been getting calls from them as well. They never leave a message. Just adds to my list of reasons to get rid of them, too. Obviously, a government which will not enforce immigration laws certainly can't be expected to enforce the no call list regulation.

Called every 2 hours this weekend
not good reporting it

I keep getting calls from this number. Three times today alone. I have answered it once and a man launched into a spiel about how I could fix my credit probelms (I don't have any). I repeatedly asked him what company he was working for and he refused to say. He said comments like if Bush and Cheney can do secret things then other people can too. I told him I was on the Do Not Call list and demanded to know who was bothering me several times a day. He got more abusive. I told him to remove me from their lists and to never call again or I would report them. That was about a week ago. They still keep calling. Today, when the first call came in, I answered it. The recorded voice started in about cerdit again and said to speak with an agent, press 1, or to be removed, press 2. They have called twice again. The second call was not answered. I picked up the third call and was connected, then the line went dead. It is impossible to call them back.
I hate these people.

Whoever owns this company should be ashamed of themselves harassing everyone including myself and my family. They should be fined and have to make a payout to everyone that they call . The idiots call my house 3-4 times a day and don't even say anything . We are tired of these calls . What's more messed up is that I have to pay to have these calls stopped , which shouldn't be. The Gov. should put a stop to this kind of harrassment . Obviously this company is breaking some kind of law if alot of people are complaining and they should be stopped
John 2011-06-06 20:52:08 Unknown
You cannot call the number back because you get an error msg. I e-mailed them and here's how much they care about *YOUR* privacy:
Dear Retarded,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to laugh at you, your e-mails made us all giggle a little.
Once again, I sure do hope you're able to resolve this issue for yourself instead of continually involving completely unrelated parties such as ourselves into the made-for-tv-movie drama that is your life.
All the Best,
Dee

Dee, I would suggest that you stop sending nasty emails to John. If indeed he is emailing the wrong people, it doesn't help your company's image when you start an email to him with the words Dear Retarded. The correct way to handle John's case would be to politely tell him that your company didn't call him and refer him to the url you mentioned in your above post.

two calls this weekend. one on the 15th. one on the 16th. no messages.
Melissa F 2011-06-06 20:52:08 Unknown
They have called me twice yesterday and left no message.
Paul 2011-06-06 20:52:08 Unknown
I received two calls from this group, one on June 22 and one today. As have others above, I called the number, only to hear, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again. 1053" This was repeated once and the phone call disconnected. While this sounded like a conventional telephone company error message, the fact that "1053" was articulated poorly may mean that I actually connected with the company and they were spoofing a genuine telecon error message. Whatever is the case, I am going to report this nuisance call to my telephone company on Monday, June 25th.

On some days calls and hangs up after 2 rings. Other times I say hello and then it hangs up. Calls at least twice a day for the last week. Some days my answering machine picks up and I listen they do not leave a message.

My phone number is "unlisted" and I got a call from 602-889-8022 on 3-25-08 at 7:29 PM. I had the same experiences as everyone else above reported to have. I took the advice of Jason Larson who posted on March 29, 07 and called my local Telephone CO. and filed a "Nuisance Report". They highly recommended that I call the State's Attorney Generals Office. In the process of doing that. Will report any further calls if any.

Answered the phone tonight from these people and they are taking a survey on drinks consummed in our household! Needless to saw I told them to take us off their list and that we were already on the National Do Not Call Registry.

Been receiving the same calls, did a few searches online and found more info on: https://www.intelius.com/purchase.php and listed the info below: Phone Report for (602) 889-8022
NAME: AVAILABLE
TYPE: RESIDENTIAL
ADDRESS: AVAILABLE
CITY/STATE: PHOENIX/AZ
Now that I know, I have no need to answer the phone for them. If they don't have the courtesy to leave a message, no answer and no reply.
Kelly 2008-03-17 20:40:24 Unknown
We've gotten a call twice from this number - once a day. Nobody is there when we answer, but you can hear noise in the background. When you call back it's a pre-recorded 'not in use' message.

Belinda 2008-03-08 21:11:09 Unknown
This call started last week 602-889-8022.I refuse to answer because I know it's someone selling something. Now reading this blog I will turn off my answer machine also.

These idiots have called me tonight about 30 times in a row! I called the number lsted on this website and talked to someone from CanResearch. I told him to take my number off. I just answered when the last "Arizona" call came through and the guy said he was from Research International. I told him that he better take me off their list immediately in a very stern voice and now no call in the last minute so maybe they got the message. Who are these people?
sandradee 2008-02-27 16:25:23 Unknown
My Number is unlisted, wonder how they got it? As I don't give it out either.
kristi 2008-02-27 04:50:21 Unknown
I received a call on my home phone and did not answer it b/c I was on my cell with my grandma. I *69 the home phone after I got off my cell (thinking it was a friend who calls but never leaves a messages) to find out who had called. BUT it wasn't my friend?it was (602) 889-8022. I have an unlisted # so no one ever calls unless it is family or friends or the phone company trying to sell me something. The only other call I get is from a survey group about once every 1 -2 months. They survey me on beer and what kind I drink, carbs, where I purchase it, and how often. They pay me in cash $5 for each survey I do. I normally get a letter 2-3 weeks after each survey with a $5 bill...not bad for 4 minutes of my time ...and the people I speak to are very pleasant and even ask what time would be good for them to call me and thank me after each call. So totally up to you if you want to do the survey ...I'm not sure (602) 889-8022 is the "survey" people calling...didn't answer..but that?s the only call I get that isn't family or friends. Thought I would shed some light on the 602 mystery....again...not sure if the 602# is my survey people or not.....how about picking up the phone and stop hiding behind your caller ID to find out. WOW what a thought...Oh btw..I work for a company that has a 1-800 as the main line...for clients to use as not to charge them long distance when calling in to the company...so when we call clients in regards to their accounts...it shows the 1-800# on the caller ID...can't tell you how many time we have clients call us...and say "um yeah? someone just called me from here" well guess what....there are over 30 extensions off of that 1-800 number...so pick up your phones and answer them?.or at least say "remove me from your list" like I have to do each time the news paper calls me at work! As I say ..if it was important enough ...they will call me back! Or for god sakes ...get your number unlisted already.

I got a call from 602-889-8022 they left no message but the day before that I got a call from unknown name unknown number, this guy thought he was talking to a human , well no duh, he was talking to my answering machine,
calls goes like this: Hello my name is Philp Andrews, with Research International... we are conducting a Survey not selling anything and your answeres are kept confidential. First of all... are you 18 years or older.... Hello.. Hello... pause.. click. lol, since I am on the Do Not Call list. this was a first for me and I think they are the same people as the unknown name.
edgetech 2008-02-20 23:48:29 Unknown
They call a few times a day and it's getting very annoying..!!!

Here's what's going on
A Stupid telemarketer, in an attempt to get past the DO NOT CALL lists has purchased a piece of equipment that changes the phone number that appears on our caller ID machines. They chose a number that is not in service. The number is valid ok, I called the phone company that owns that number, but it's not an active number.
They do this so they cannot be traced. And it works!
Basically our Do Not Call laws need to keep up with technology
Anyway, their stupid computer is broken. These machines automatically dial our phone numbers, and they are supposed to get a live person on the line when we pick up. On the odd occasion when it does work, it appears to be a tobacco research survey or something that they are calling about.

thanks for your message - I just got the first call from them and looked it up online and fount this thread so I called them and told them to remove me from their system. They said they would.

They've called me five nights running, now and here's how they responded to an e-mail from me:
Dear Retarded,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to laugh at you, your e-mails made us all giggle a little.
Once again, I sure do hope you're able to resolve this issue for yourself instead of continually involving completely unrelated parties such as ourselves into the made-for-tv-movie drama that is your life.

Yes, those people are confused,* as are you. I do hope you're able to get this resolved for yourself without further involving us in your telemarketing troubles.
Dee
* By "Confused," I actually mean "Retarded," but "Confused" sounds so much nicer, dontcha think?

Okay, I'm confused.............tell me then, is (602) 889-8022 NOT your phone number? <http://www.callferret.com/602-889-8022.html> says the number is registered to YOUR company. Are they lying? Here's what it says at <http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?s=5d ... 92&#entry961992>:

Found this too:
The number belongs to Research International. Their corporate office is 1-800-829-5255. I called them. They said the numer is theirs and that the dialer should only dial at most once every two hours. She offered to remove me from their list. So that it the route I am taking. Apparently they have about 50 surveys going on right now."
******************************************************************************************
Are THEY lying? Here's what is listed at <http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-602-889-8022>:
"With research this is what I found out - that it belongs to these guys: http://www.phonesearchcentral.com/"
These folks are charging people to look up 'bothersome' phone numbers."
******************************************************************************************
Are these people all lying or are they "confused" too? I don't care if you have or don't have a list, okay? I don't want to see your goddamned number on my ID box again. If I do, you can bet your arrogant a** that I WILL call the Arizona State Attorney General's office in a heart beat!
Have A Nice Day.
Dee 2008-02-03 02:24:16 Unknown
This guy is so sure this number belongs to my company that he continually sends me emails asking me to remove him from our calling list! He refuses to believe the number doesn't belong to our company. It doesn't, and we don't call people. That number belongs to some "Research International" company that is in no way affiliated with my company.
Thanks for the publicity John!
