Eric, I also recieved the letter and went.  Yes, everyone recieves the discount, they offered it to me too.  I wanted to buy it but can't afford it right now because we are building a new house and you know how that ties you up.  To everyone else, I understand being skeptic but I went and recieved the promised two round-trip airfares and a $500 gas voucher!!  It is a legitimate deal.

Received same letter, the Charlie Creech version.  Nothing is "legitimate" when a company doesn't even have the guts to use the same name or offer a hint of what you have to go through to get your "free ticket".  My time is worth something to, if I have to spend it to get something "free" then it's not free.

And paying thousands to join a "travel club" and a weekly fee to top it all off is hardly a deal, unless you have money to burn.

I too am forwarding the letter to the Attorney General.  Half of these things are also ploys to circumvent the "do not call" list--if you are unwise enough to call and get caller id'd on the other end, these bottom feeders and their cohorts can claim they've established a business relationship with you, and call you whenever they want.

I'm one of the lucky ones to have received this same letter today. lol I have something different though to add to all of your comments. The envelope is not hand addressed to me but typed and there is no postmark at all where the stamp goes in the top right corner so I have no idea what city this came from. The letterhead on my letter is Stewart Collins and is signed by a Jennifer Pratt and the tel # is 480-374-5762. In the past, I have gone to those presentations offering timeshares etc, but not in this manner of so many of us receiving the same letter signed by so many different people and to keep changing the company on the letterhead. If you are so legitimate, then why keep making so many changes every time you send out these letters? Also, how did they get away with not having a postmark on my envelope showing what post office/city this came from and the date for a postmark??? I want to say a big Thank You to all who wrote comments on this site for me to find!!

Received a letter from Colbert & Johnson, signed by Charlie Creech.  Letter is postmarked in Toledo.  Went to their web and it is bareboned.  Beware!  Nothing is free - trying to give me two airline tickets without an explanation.  In the trash now.  Wish the FBI would investigate.

My Colbert & Johnson letter came from Martinez GA, post marked Augusta.  If I called within 48 hrs, would get $500 gas voucher in addition to the airline tickets.  Said they had tried unsuccessfully to try and reach me...don't know about that, I've been here all the time.  Hand addressed envelope used my middle initial, I wonder where they got it from.  Anyway, if they are not a scam, someone else (they referred to an "alternate") can thank me for the tickets and gas.  Number to call:  1-866-684-0792.

Got the same letter from Colbert and Johnson.  Dated Oct. 17, 2008. I have to respond by October 31, 2008.  I'm in Nevada, so it looks like they're moving north.  By the way, I feel like I got jipped, because if I respond within 48 hours I only get a $100 gas voucher.  Dang, cause I could have really used that $500 one too.

Mine is from a person named Bart Stone.  Phone Number to call is 1-866-927-1380.

PS.. we've been receiving a number of calls that don't have a caller ID, but who also don't answer when you say hello.

Also rcd letter with letterhead STEWART COLLINS dated Oct. 22, postmarked Oct. 24 from Phoenix. As with the others reported, said they've attempted to contact me several times (did not). "...call me today at 480-374-5764." Signed Jennifer Pratt, Vice President Travel Awards Division. Everyone working there must be a VP. They used my given name which I hardly ever use, but which I recently used to purchase my house in Phx. - may be a clue as to how they get names and addresses. *Scam*

Actually it's a timeshare type of deal for a private travel agency that you have to be a member of to use. They just give out airline tickets as an incentive to come sit through the pitch.

Live in Nevada.  Got a letter from Colbert and Johnson telling me to respond by October 31st for 2 airline tickets pricing up to $1400 and if I call within 48 hours I get $100 in gas.  I get the same, "We've tried to contact you" bull as everyone else.  Additionally, if I want to decline I need to call them so that they can give it to someone else.  Laughable.  It is signed by "Vice President" Bart Stone of Travel Awards Division number 1-866-927-1380 address 4400 Columbia Rd Suite 104 Martinez, GA 30907 but the stamp indicates Ohio.  It was also hand addressed with no return address on the envelope.  Just more info as an FYI to those getting the letters.

Got the letter from Colbert & Johnson today.  Did the same type of search on the internet eveyone else mentioned, and nothing comes up for this company.  The envelope was handwritten with a printed letter inside (just like everyone elses).  It looks like the new VP of the Travel Awards division is Bart Stone.  My letter came from 4400 Columbia Rd Suite 104, Martinez GA 30907 address.  Also the contact number has changed to 1-866-927-5938.

i just got this letter too, from colbert & johnson. never got a phone call, though. this website is so obviously fake, and the letter! it's flimsy paper with a word-default letterhead, and there is no way that the "vice president" addresses his own letters (the handwriting is the same) on envelopes with no return address. With an address on the letterhead that says Georgia, a postage stamp that says Toledo, OH, and a stamp that says Iowa? Come on. If they can give away a bunch of free stuff they should be able to afford some heavyweight paper and a better printer. I think someone is running this out of their parent's basement.
