they called 8 times in the last hour looking for "Russ"
i told them not here, but they kept calling

They called many times but when we answered the phone there is nothing on the other side then we hang up and they call again

Several calls today from this "unlisted " number. Cannot dial back without a blocked message. We should report this to the agencies.

Shellgame gets me to shell out money to find out who called me.  Who gets the money the jerks that drive me nuts, calling my number

I recieve calles from this # once a week at least and have it identified in my phone as DO NOT ANSWER. I appreciate the information and am working to put a stop to this. And I do believe the Gov. is selling the #s off the national do not call list.

The number that they are using is "spoofed", that is they are programming their PBX system to show this unused number as theirs.  This number according to the phone company in Mesa, AZ that owns it has never been assigned.  So...until the FCC wakes up and makes this practice illegal like it should have been from the start....they will just continue to scam the public at large using any number they choose.

Called 4 times in less than an hour this morning. Each time I let answering machine pick up, they hung up and called right back. DUH! You can't fix stupid. Whatever happened to the ZAPIT device that would delete numbers from calling banks? I never had one, but if it works I sure would like one now. So much for the DNC list, heck I wonder if the govt. is selling the list to telemarketers themselves to raise cash revenues.

This number called four times this morning.  When I answer, there is no one there, just dead air.  I am assuming it is a computer generated telemarketer.   Since we are on the "Do Not Call List" and have been for years, this type of call is very irritating and should be illegal.

The 602-969-8898 called very early this AM, Dec, 3, 2009. Showed up only as Mesa, AZ. on caller ID. My wife answered and the man's voice asked for me not by my full name but buy part of my name, he said "IS THIS GREG?". My wife said no, he's asleep. The man's voice then said "COME TO THINK ABOUT IT, YOU DON'T SOUND LIKE GREG.". Before my wife could ask who was calling for me the man said "I'LL CALL HIM BACK LATER". I do not know anyone from Mesa, AZ, or anywhere in AZ. for that matter. I have no relatives anywhere close to Mesa, AZ. I have never even spoken to anyone from AZ. before. I always use my full name in any business I do and to everyone except my relatives and close friends that live near by me. If this is a telemarketer and he does call me back, he's going to be called a few choice names that his friends and family wouldn't want to know him by. That will be his last phone call to me, I promise you that. That phone number best quit while it's ahead. I guess putting my phone number on that telemarketer DO NOT CALL list was a waste of time. About as much of a waste as these so called free reverse phone number look up websites. They don't have any information about the phone number for free, but they do have some information about it for some $$$$$$. They are full of Bullsh!t!!!! Don't waste your time with them is my advice.

Got the call from the same number. The caller ID said name not available. I do not answer calls from name unavailable or private as they are either people trying to sell me oil stock or some other problem. They never leave a message. Legitimate callers do not block their name or in the case of the private ones, the name and number.

Called three times in two hours.  Did not leave message.  Then asked for Anthony Tucker.  Wrong number.  Still calling.

Four calls in the last hour.  Is there a way to stop it?

Got 3 calls today.  When I called back was advised was a disconnected number

no one is ever there,, they called 3x and this is irritating!!!

Two calls this a.m. 15 minutes apart.  Same results as everyone else.

A lot of times these calls are just computerized surveys to find out what time of the day a live person answers.
Then the info is given or sold to other tele-marketing companies to give them a better chance at getting their calls answered. The best thing to do is not answer the phone.

North American area code 602 is a state of Arizona telephone area code that covers most of the city of Phoenix.

Ditto to elecmike on August 27.  Call back to number, get recording: "Your call cannot be complete as dialed."

Keep getting calls from this number but when we answer there is nothing but dead air on the other end. Get about two to three calls a week.
