Rude and hung up when I asked a question

wondering who it is called 2 today.

Received call from this number on my AT&T cell phone on 3/30/09 at 10:14am.  Did not recognize the number so did not pick up.

Funny... I have ATT too and so does my husband and they are calling both of our phones!

This bogus auto warranty company keeps calling my cell phone at all hours of the day and night saying it's the final notice that my auto warranty is about to run out. It gives you the option to press 1 to speak to a rep or 2 to be taken off the call list. When you press 2, it hangs up on you and they keep calling you anyway. I finally was tired of getting the calls so I pressed 1 and "Steve" answered. When I told him to take me off of his calling list he hung up on me. The next time they called, I pressed 1 again. I asked what the name of the company was and was told "The Warranty Service Company" when I asked for his name, he hung up on me. They call as late as 11:00PM and as early as 0600. They spoof their phone number so it changes each time, and if you try to call it back, it is a non-existent number. The numbers they have used so far are: 502/565-1340, 410/629-7065, 616/597-4012, 603/214-3340, 502/565-1342, 202/747-7323, 931/634-1086, 804/254-1904, 804/862-9305, 478/301-2700, 478/477-3875, 603/214-3580, 478/301-2489, 202/747-7322, 310/599-9166, 973/438-3624 These are just from the past 3 days. I have cleared the others out of my call history. I am ready to change my cell phone number at this point, but I hate the thought of letting a scam company inconvenience my life!

Another factory warranty call. This is the second call today. . .I now have a "spam" contact on my phone :-)

I also have an AT&T wireless cellphone and have gotten a call from this number for auto warranty expiration.  

Too bad it's not a live person that calls, so I can torment them.

I'm in michigan and I get the same #calling me he just called a few minutes ago and I asked him for some information and he wanted mine first. I did'nt provide the information he claimed that I'm waisting minutes on the phone when in  I refused he hung up.I tried to find the # it's not listed as a business in new Hampshire. I wont give up and u guys keep pluggn away maybe the BBB is another option

right after i missed this call i got another call from 9098428144 about health benefits. telemarketers can go f*&k themselves

I keep getting this phone number all hours of the day and something has to give I have a no call on my phone and cell phone they talked about how obama is doing this and that just an answering machine tired of getting woke up for trash calls

They have called my work number as well as my cell phone number. I am starting to think my auto company sold me out when I made a purchase. How are they getting all my ph# including work # and it all the same company. I have seen some people on here recommend calling Bayring...I left a message...hope that takes care of it.

This # has shown up repeatedly on my phone.....Very annoying...Very RUDE...Called FCC about them and made a report as well! Hopefully this SCAM WILL SOON STOP!

hmmm that's not true - my other half got a call on his prepaid cell phone. They DO call those numbers...it might be random or might be sold but he got a call

Extremely rude; they called me and after multiple times requesting a superviser remove me from this scam I decided to play along. "make and model of car please". "1980 Mazda RX7...I want the warranty". CLICK.

And it won't allow dialing back in.

I get the same call reguarding a car warranty about 5-6 times a week. If I push 2 to get taking off the follow up, I get hung up on. If I push 1 to talk to a representative, it just rings and rings and no one picks up. It's extremely annoying!! I also have AT&T. I e-mailed Bayring, so hopefully I'll get a response soon! Thanks for the tips everyone!!

They call my cell phone and do not think for a second that cell phone companies do not sell your numbers. they do. I just got this number after telling att that I wanted a totally off the wall number.

PREPAID PHONES work best because no one bothers with those. Telemarketers do not call prepaid phones. It's true!!!

i cannot count how many times this company(?) has called me.  thanks to gp for providing the Bayring #.  Just called them.  Hope it works!

They call me repeatedly when it is illegal for telemarketers to call (after 10pm my time). If you call Bayring at 603-766-1000 (Bayring provides their phone service) the company is really nice and they e-mail the telemarketer and get your # removed from the list.

Same here - waited to talk to the jerk.  Complete cold calls - don't even know if you have a car.

You can add this number to the other Alltel #'s I posted as of yesterday, which are affiliated with Verizon Wireless, Freaken pain in da a**es.

They are calling about a warranty for a car.  I don't even own one!

Another number that calls to sell me extended warranty coverage.  The same recorded message calls me from about 3 or 4 different numbers.  I got a call from this 603 number this evening while eating dinner at 5:58.  The same message called me earlier today at 1:20 from 9785702358

This a**hole is calling me trying to sell me a warranty on a car. When you try to respond they hang up and continue to call. I've reported them to the Attorneys General in Alabama and Mississippi and they refer them to the Feds.
Total waste of time.

I got this call on the 30th at 1:55pm.  Answered prompted to be taken off the call list.  Man answered, "Make and Model of car", and the second I said "I do not own a car..." he cut me off and hung up.  Not only are they annoying and waste of my time but they are RUDE as well.  It wouldn't bother me as much if they'd appologize for wasting my time or something.

They are trying to get you to buy an expensive warranty for your vehicle... should you own one.

Anybody know a number that you can call them back? Or a company name? I target these scammers and tie up their phone line while I prank them. Example, are flux capacitors covered in the warranty. Thanks all for the help!

I've received the same call numerous times at my job. It's kind of hard to stop it when they call from different numbers. Someone needs to go after this company. Obviously a scam
