This is about the third or fourth in the last week or so.  Some kind of political call left on answer machine. Was on land line before, today my wife's cell phone.  No one but immediate family knows that number.  This is a telemarketing pest for sure.

"Unknown Name" I didn't answer.

When you receive these calls, IF YOU ANSWER THE PHONE the call ends.  The purpose is to deliver a recorded message to a potential voter.  There is no live agent awaiting.

603-214-3604 Caller ID "Errol NH", no further info.
I disconnected after 1 minute of dead air. Received a similar call last week but I disconnected immediately then; this time I was more curious and waited. I live in northwest Phoenix. I too think this is "predictive dialing."

I've been called twice today from 603.204.3604 and a few more times in the past few days. Caller ID says it' from Errol, NH. With election day less than a week away, my guess this is a robocall from some candidate's campaign. STOP ALREADY!!!!!

I just got a call from this number on my Phoenix phone line and also got a quick hang-up.  I immediately googled the number, and before coming to this site, I learned that Area Code 603 603 was created as one of the original area codes in October, 1947.

I just received a dead-air call, too. I suspect they are using what is called "predictive dialing", which is where their telephone system makes calls and only connects an agent to the call if a live person answers. The purpose is to maximize the number of calls handled by each agent while not having the agents waste time with answering machines, busy signals, etc.

The problem is that sometimes the system will recognize a real person as an answering machine - or an agent won't be available to handle the call when the system recognizes a "live one". It sucks for the person receiving the call because they get dead air and a hangup. It's rude and unprofessional, but let's face it -telemarketers are not exactly known for caring about the people they call.

If everyone would only agree to vote against any candidate who telemarkets, this would go away. Then again, if people didn't buy from telemarketers (or from Billy Mays and that creepy ShamWow guy) then those ads would go away, too. I don't understand people.

It's a political message from Sheriff Joe wanting you to vote for Tom Boone.

I can't wait for these elections to be over.  Why do political message not have to abide by the DO NOT CALL list?  Ugh!

got a call from 603-214-3604 nobody on the line

This was weird.  Our home phone in Phoenix (602 area code) call forwards to one of our cell phones (also 602).  We got the same kind of call with just dead air like others reported here on our 602 cell phone.  A few minutes later we got the same dead air call from the same number to our other cell phone that has a Tucson area code.  It seems like it was someone who knew that we had both numbers.  It is possible that I listed our home phone on my voter registration and my wife listed the Tucson cell phone on hers.  If it is a political campaign, they are wasting their money because we never received the message -- just dead air -- and we mailed in our ballot a week ago.

got a call from this number, they left a message - a recording from the vice president of Deer Valley school board.  They're looking votes to help the schools.

What is common about the people receiving these calls?

Is it some kind of tracking?

All I got on my Caller ID was "Errol NH".  I answered and heard nothing, they then hung up.  No idea what it was for.  Apparently it is being used by the "McCain for Women Leadership Team"
