received a hang up on my cell

Called to tell us we would be sent on a vacation to include disney, daytona beach and the bahamas.  My husband asked them to call later, but they kept adding more people to convince him, but woudn't call back.  They finally hung up when he insisted on getting some names.

Telling me that they could give me a reduced interest rate on my cards, but they can't tell me what cards I have if any at all.  It's just special rate they offer their holders.

Getting calls from this number and they don't leave a message

I am on the National Do Not Call Registry but I still get these calls.  Today I was home to answer the phone (usually there's a message on my answering machine).  While I was trying to explain about the registry to the woman on the phone, SHE HUNG UP ON ME! How rude was that!

This number called me and its a credit card company.  Dont answer.

unfortunately I am the next on their list!! Thanks to all of you guys I won't waste my time in asking the caller who is he or why he called me!!!

Called at 11:19 this morning and I was thankfully not in.  I sure wish Canada and the USA would get together and merge their do not call number registry!!!

Don't stop there, Jones. I had to block out the entire Portsmouth exchange (603-214) because they keep changing the last four digits of their phone number each time they call. Sometimes its fake car warranty, fake health insurance, fake satellite TV installation. All times annoying. The funniest one was "fake home appliance insurance". What? You want to insure my toaster oven? LOL!

I'm just glad I don't have any relatives in New Hampshire, so I'm not missing any REAL phone calls.

Call showed a payphone--I doubt it. . 16:46 Friday Jan 23rd.  I answered and they started talking about "This is important information about your credit card"  I hung up.
It is now blocked.

These should not be legal.  Why can we not stop these violators?
The phone company should be responsible for permitting this type of usage and they should disconnect their services.  Clearly, these can not generate ANY customer base.

Same news as above - "second and final offer".  I was tempted to hit '3' but that's just proving that it's a live phone number and inviting more unsolicited calls.

Got a call from them this afternoon. Pushed one Asked what company she was calling from, She said "We work with both Visa and Master Card..." I interrupted her and said "No I want the name of the company you are calling from." Didn't raise my voice, all she said was "Sir don't raise your voice at me, I don't have to listen to this!" then she hung up.

Exactly just like the previous comment here in Vancouver British columbia I was attending the rememberence day ceremonies when they called on my mobile at 11.03 a.m.

Well who takes a cell phone to a remembrance day ceremony, I consider you the rude one.  

In any case when are these Canadian phone companies going to put a stop these american calls coming in?

Rude you say?  For several months now, about every other week I receive "my second and final offer" from this credit card company and each time I either press "3" to have my name removed from their list or "1" to ask the operator to do the same.  No luck.  Tonight, I asked "Steve" and he hung up without saying a word -- no doubt to move on to his next victim, I'm sorry, "prospect".

Anyone thinking this might be Capital One or one of their "affiliates".

Same old song each time.  "This is important information.........."  offer for a reduced rate credit card.  Would not divulge name!  Strange and annoying.

They have been calling me a couple of times also... never answered... except last time cause I was tired of them calling... I started asking the guy questions... and he just hung up on me!!!   Next time I'll try to be wiser and will ask them a number where I can call them back... if they give me one I'll post it up here and we will all be able to call them back and give them loads of s**t!

Had these people (low Life) call a few times now, automated message. I just hang up.

march 5 2009    answered this call. appears to me to be a scam of some sort about lowering credit card rates. women says this is my second and final notice.  these people should be put away. they are nothing but theives. the phone companys should do something about this, i filed a complaint with the crtc and phone busters.
