Interesting how horrible the spelling and such is of the people above who claim to work at Kirby, kind of explains a lot about their company.

Seriously?  They believe they are not selling anything?  Could have fooled me with the phone call I got!

A couple years since an update on here?  Still the same company, Kirby.  Mentioned 2 people I know "got me a gift certificate", I guess because they got their cleaning service?  Who knows...but I tell the lady I don't even live in New Hampshire (the 703 area code didn't give that away?).  She thought I lived in Jackson, ha!  So she apologized and said good-bye.  Sounded legit and sincere, so we'll see if they call back.  Not sure how or why these people would give them my number to begin with.

exact same thing happened to me after my first interview today at 9:30am.  only Mark said $480/wk.  said he trains everyone to do csr & advertising work.  initial call, yes, no company in ad just phone #, woman on line was very vague.  i told my bf it sounded shady.  Mark looked like a mafia man in a suit.  gave me a post it with his name & # on it to call him at 5 so he can tell me whether he wants a second interview (orientation) or no.  courtesy of letting me know if he wants to hire me or not.  i knew it was BS.
thanks for the tip!

I just left an interview Mark Philbrick at KN, Inc. - office location 42 Dover Point Rd.
I am an advertising/marketing professional with 15 years experience, I answered an ad
for "Customer Service, Advertising, Office Cleaning".  On the initial phone call I could not
tell if this was an employment agency or direct hire, so I went to the interview.

Mark said they were looking for quality people and will pay $585 per week.
I asked about the "advertising" position and he went into a convoluted explanation about
letting people try the product(s) before they buy.  I emphasized that I was an advertising
professional with a strong background in media and for the second time asked him to look
at my resume.  I pushed him further about the "advertising" position and asked if he was
hiring a person to assist with advertising/marketing; at which he said, "we don't do any advertising."  So, I am puzzled why he advertises for an "advertising person" when they don't do any advertising.  I pushed further saying, "are you saying that your definition of advertising is having a face to face conversation with someone?"  He replied, "Yes."
So, he gave me his number on a post-it note (no business cards?) and said to call him after 5 today to see if they wanted to hire me.  Truly, I stifled a laugh......

You are right, if you say call back people do give reason to call back.  However, when you answer the phone and say please cancel this number and all you get is reapeted call backs .. that is totally wrong and certainly not good for the cause.  You people are selling something, you start the ball rolling. You can stop the ball from rolling.  When the customer is set up for an appointment the work is done and the sales person is in full sales mode and will convince people who do not have the money or where with all to pay.  It's a great product but the sales of this thing is demeaning and a rip off. Your approach needs an overhaul.  You the caller needs to do the work too because you have no idea how the sales approach is overdone and overwhelming. You need an undercover boss to go in and fix your group.

I've been getting repeated calls from this outfit, despite requesting that they stop and despite being on the Do Not Call registry. They claim to have bought a list of numbers which they were assured were not on the Do Not Call registry. They claim to have received these numbers from New Pros at 740-201-0410. New Pros claims they get these numbers from public databases of recent buyers of new houses. So somebody in the local real estate business, or someone in the town real estate records office, is probably making money selling this information. Complain to your local politicians, your Congressman, or anyone else you can think of. After all, it is our citizen complaints which got the Do Not Call registry started. These telemarketers are just a bunch of criminals who are willfully flouting the law. You can file a complaint with Do Not Call. Be sure to give them the number of L&R, New Pros, or whoever is bothering you.

Whoever started this site....thank you. I was looking for a job in the Foster's Daily Democrat and this co came up (no business name...which is a red flag for me.) I googled the number and not only did this blog come up, but also a huge listing on ripoffreport.com.  This company is another one of those "boiler rooms" jobs that keep people calling numbers over and over and over.  And to "Are you kidding me"....you are either the owner, a friend of the company or a compulsive liar.  No boss would tell you to "try one and if they say no don't bother them again." The fact that this company has so many negative comments about it tells me that you are lying.

Also watch out for KPC Inc (otherwise known as Kirby Products of Newington ) Mark Philbrick runs that company and is also sleezy (check out the write up about him on ripoffreports.com. Put in Mark Philbrick and read what he does to people.)

You are indeed selling, and you are indeed violating the DNC list, you are absolutely NOT exempt.

You are scammers by the very nature of the way you do business. Anyone who allows your "representatives" into their house is putting the safety of themselves and their family AT RISK. These are low life scumbags who have no legitimate business going into the homes of the honest people they TRICK.

We don't care how you get paid. We don't care whether you have a job even. Nobody who is being harassed and tricked by you dirtbags is going to "give you a break" and this site is FAIR WARNING to anyone who might otherwise be tricked.

And you know it must be working when the scammers themselves come here. Nobody is giving you a bad reputation but YOURSELF!

If you're not qualified to get honest work, then you can live in a cardboard box, none of your victims gives a crap.

you people are ridiculous ....i work for Kirby ... and its a new office. i know for a fact that for one were not technically selling anything over the phone that means the DO NOT CALL LIST doesnt apply to us. We literally call from a phone book or a towm list of homeowners and when the representatives go and do demonstrations the customer chooses to put your name down on the "list" and u can also get free merchandise ...the reps have to do the 15 cleanings to get paid period. they are fully aware that if they dont then they dont get paid..so for all of u who are complaining about the 550 a wk.. you knew what u signed up for so quit bitching . also if u dont want people calling your phone repeatedly tell them im not interested ....dont say hey can u call me back at such and such date and then not answer because we will call u back because u gave us the date to call u back in the first place so its ur own fault..and for those who complain about us not leaving messages ...well come one if we tell u its kirby calling you are u really going to call us back? alright then thats what i thought... give people a break there just doing there job were not harming anyone..and if u had a bad experiance im sorry that another company had to ruin it for the rest of everyone else and give all kirby distribution centers a bad reputation...

That's a bunch of crap.  I used to work there a long time ago and not once I, or any other dealer got paid for just "doing" their job.  That 15 demonstrations min. is almost impossible to achieve.  So yes, "on paper" everyone gets paid but none see their paycheck unless they sell.  So don't even try to lie your way out of it.  Shady business practices!!!
Biggest scam since Bernie Madoff!!!

P.S. We have a life and it doesn't involve lying, cheating and stealing.

These people called me four times in two days.  When I finally called them back, they asked me if I knew some woman and I said no.  Then they asked me if I knew someone else, who I did know.  They said she gave them my cell phone number, which I find really hard to believe.  After telling them repeatedly I was not interested, the conversation was FINALLY ended by me being extra firm.  I hope they don't continue to call me!

Do you seriously have nothing better to do? I worked there, the mgr runs a very strict guideline and if anyone in that phoneroom isn't polite and proffessional at all times, their only warned once!! the owner also made us cross out any customers that don't set and then shred the list after everyones reached. 1 time and 1 time only, so if you aren't interested, just say so! and of course they're gonna keep trying to reach you! they honestly think you're NEVER home and they just keep trying to reach you!they'll say "it's pretty valuable and why not take a look, and they pay their reps to do a cleaning to advertise the system", because thats their job, of course all reps are gonna wanna sell it, but they get paid either way. Nobodys gonna pressure you, lets be honest in this day in age are we really a blind society that would allow us to ALL be roped? the majority love the company, products, and employees... you people that sit here and post negative comments, need to get a life... you are the minority

This number called my cell phone 9 times in two days!  I do not answer calls on my cell phone that I do not recognize. They never left a message. I just called them back to tell them to stop calling me. They asked if I knew "First Name - Last Name" and I said NO. They said they would take my number off their list...we'll see.

Kirby Of Concord is a disgrace to society! (603)229-3131 Is a number that shows up on my 89 year old mothers phone every night around 8:30pm!! And we have told that un-ethical company to stop calling me and her but they won't stop!! Kirby Of Concord keeps telling my mother that she filled out some card (which she never did she is disabled) and they tell her she won a $200 dollar certificate for a carpet shampoo?? Thats B.S. and these low lifes at Kirby of Concord need to be stopped!!I cant take it anymore to have my mother awoke an hour past her bedtime to have these people (who try to push vacuums on old people) interupt her night!! They call my friends , family and everbody I know claiming that we "all" have won something.!! L&R Merchandising needs to be stopped!! Ive heard horror stories from my niece who worked there along with many other UN-SATIFIED CUSTOMERS ONLINE AND EX-WORKERS!!The people of Concord and New Hampshire have had enough of this Un-Ethical Company!!

Did you actually call L & R Merchandising back to report the representative that came to your mothers home?  The only way they have access to your number is if a friend, neighbor, relative or co-worker recommended your name.  They do in fact shampoo a carpet for free as a form of advertising, Kirby has advertised by word of mouth for 90+ years.  If you ever have a problem or complaint about any companies representatives I would highly recommend contacting the company directly so that they can address the problem.  Maybe the rep had a bad day maybe the rep needed to be fired.  In either case the company should be notified of such behavior.  And if they call just answer and tell them whether you are interested or not.  My experience with this company has been very good and pleasurable.

Plagued with calls from 603-229-1388. Finally answered. Thh this. There is definitely something wrong with this. They named my neighbor and tried to give away a gift certificate to clean my home, supposedly the certificate was in his name. Very suspicious.
