I do not answer unknown numbers; caller does not leave voicemail; this has been going on for too long

Received a call from here. When I called it back it said that "The number you have called is not in service. Please check your number and try again."

Just like everyone else, I got a call from this number.  I no longer answer these calls.  I've been keeping track and have received calls from more than 25 different numbers, many several times in one day.  I finally answered one and asked:  'Does it at all bother you to participate in an illegal scamming operation?'  As you might imagine, that was the end of the call.

Got a call to my work cell phone - a number that is unknown to anyone outside my company. Left no message. I think these guys keep changing numbers with their scam.

This is the thirteenth call I have gotten from these scabs, in less than 24 hours.  They are all bogus Life Alert from all over the country. They can call as much as they like, my number is blocked by Verizon. It is a shame we have to live without being able to use the phone. Go feed the homeless and leave us alone!!!

Been getting these calls for weeks. They keep changing phone numbers so it's hard to block. How do we get them to stop?!

Sick and tired of getting these calls already. They call from all over -, CA, UT, and NH for this one! They call multiple times and never leave message. Seems like they are growing e everyday ! What a waste if time !!

There is no positive ID of the call source, which makes for a less than straight answer. Some callers are covered by the Telemarketing Sales Rule, others by debt collection laws, and still others are rarely found illegal. In general, you need to express your denial of permission to call *directly* to that call source. Proving you did that through Certified Mail helps with stubborn cases.

Yup, same as post above, tried to get me to sign up for a medical alert system. When I asked how they got my number the asian lady said: because I bought Glucerna?! I have never bought Glucerna and then when I kept ignoring her questions she said she would remove my number and hung up, got a call again a few hours after. *sigh*

They are a Chinese phone solicitor.  I speak Chinese and overheard them talking.  The listing says New Hampshire but I suspect it is being routed off shore.  The wanted to "sign me up for a free medical alert system."  and all they needed was my social security number and a CC for the shipping.  I played along for a bit.  At no point did they ask for an address, my age nor would they tell me the name of the company, its address, its state or where they were actually calling from.  When I started speaking to them in their own language I was able to glean that the operator was Taiwanese though he would not say if he was in Taiwan.  I was told to hold for a supervisor and hung up on.  Upon return dialing them the number was "out of service".  This is a scam trying to get people's personal information by a bunch of a***ole identity thieves in or from Taiwan.  Don't fall for it.
