I am in San Diego and I've gotten several calls from this number a day all week.  I would be willing to bet the person or group doing this is really getting a charge out of reading about our shared frustration!

So someone mentioned both Verizon & Comcast??  Any confirmation on this or is it a campaign call?

They just called me, Im in Berks County, PA.  Caller ID shows CCS Companies.

Yeah, it's really pissing me off. I wish someone would answer!!! BOY DO I!!

This number has called 5 times in a day for 4 days - no one answers when I pick up.  Called it back today to find out who it was and just a "quick" busy signal as if it is a false number.  VERY IRRITATING!!!!!

WOW. I'm from California! The number has called me 4-5 times today! I've been receiving calls the past few days as well. I am really annoyed!

same problem here...for the last 3 days I have recieved 3 calls in average during biz hours...Im located in OC, California. Verizon might be potential suspect..and in a lesser degree a social event thing, time sharing or un-updated credit agencies.

Yep! Same thing. 4 times yesterday and 2 times so far today from 10am to 930pm. I'm in Chicago but have lived in SD and CT so I might have some bill I never payed...? But I haven't answered and no vm was left. Did call it back and got a "can not be completed as dialed" mssg. Whatever, I'm sure it'll stop in some time. Quite annoying though. Maybe it's a Halloween prank. Like on the ring... J/K :)

Same problem here! Called 3x already within a 3 hr period! No one is there. I'm in San Diego. The caller id reads Portsmouth New Hampshire???? Total annoyance when youre trying to watch tv!

I am getting phone calls from this number at least 3 or 4 times a day ! Is eating away the minutes of my prepaid cellphone and I have no idea who is calling ! We should call FCC and have this number cancelled !

This number called but did leave a message - stating it was Wachovia

2-3 calls a day, every day.  Sometimes at 930 at nite (12:30 eastern time)

Has anyone figured this out yet because they've been calling me for over 2 months now and its pretty annoying. but i actually never got called by this number it's always blocked but i did something to unblock it an dthis number came up.

They called me twice today.  I am in Jefferson County Pennsylvania.

52 calls in 19 days.  My digital phone through the cable company is good for something.  I am able to track missed calls, even the ones I miss on purpose.  52 calls; some were 5 in one day, several days of 3-5 calls per.  I am researching the company, Credit Control Services Inc.  I know FDCPA; I will find the case law to cite in my correspondence.  I don't think I have a letter from them so I don't know what they are collecting.  I have a few old bills, out of statute I believe by now.

Ps.  My wife went to the hospital for a kidney stone; turned out to be 9mm; had to have surgery.  $15,000 just from the hospital.  whew ...

Stop answering these calls.  Do not call the number back.  The reason you do not get a response is because it is a scam to tap into your phone line  and use your number to make international calls to be charged to your phone bill.  Everytime you answer your phone you have opened the cyber door for your phone line info to be ripped off.  Everytime you call the number back using the same line they called you on you are opening up your phone line info to be ripped off.  Go to your call block system and block the number if it irrritates you that much if not just ignore the calls they will soon stop because they need you to answer or call back for the scam to work.

    NH.  They called me today.
