Got the call at 4 am.....clear across the country, in Nevada. Why??? Didn't answer. And it was my cell this time.

Called my unlisted cell number. Did not leave a voice mail. Added to my block list.

It didn't left any messages.

Yeah... Was called 2 times from this number and I didn't answer both times, no voice mail was left.  WTF?

rcvd a vm on cell ph from this #....it was telemarketing for a health plan

This is a f**k**g telemarketer trying to sell you insurance! God I wish they would leave me alone so I can get some freaking work done instead of listening to their bs recording!!

These guys don't have your number. They have a random generator that picks an exchanges and calls all numbers from -0001 to -9999. If it's answered, the number confirmed as an active number and it hangs up. If you press 1 to go to a "do not call list", in also confirms you are an active number. Your number will then be sold to another telemarketer.

When I get a call that's not programmed into my cell, I reject it. If there's voice mail from someone I need to talk with, I call them back. If not, I google the number. It has always been telemarketers. Wish I knew how to stop it. I now program these numbers into my phone as "do not answer". That way I know not to answer if they call again. Still makin' me mad though.

Said I had 24 hours to respond when I try to return call didn't aswer it hangs up.

Caller ID reported this phone number as (APP CONSUMER SVC); they left no message.

i think it the dam cell phone company selling our number to use up minutes

Folks I have news for you, Mr Obama and his thugs are just making it known that they can do anything they want when they want. Private number???  You have to be kidding, their building profiles on every US citizen.

Got 2 calls from this number today in 1 hour.

And yes, Charles, everyone also knows that people such as scientist Stephen Hawking wouldn't have a chance in the U.K., where the National Health Service would say the life of this brilliant man, because of his physical handicaps, is essentially worthless.

If all these people received a call from this number, what is necessary to find out who they are and to stop it

I got a call from this number this evening after work.  I did not answer the call, and they left no message.  I did some looking on Wiki, and the number is a land-line (unlisted) from Manchester, New Hampshire.  Wierd - glad I didn't answer.

got call from this number:: 603-606-4912 / @ 3:04 PM on August 31st 2009.

i was unavailable at the time/ individual did not leave a message.. perp is not on my contact list.. did search and found it to be from New Hampshire.. i do not know anyone from NH.. and it was listed as "No Name".. this call was made to my PRIVATE / UNLISTED cell phone!
WHY cant these people be stopped!? I did however add it to my reject list.

I haave the capability to REJECT phone calls from certain numbers.

Robo-call trying to sell health insurance.

I got a phone call from this number, and let it go to v/m since I didn't recognize the number. It was something about my having owned a Chevrolet in the past... funny since I've never driven, let alone owned, a Chevy. Said I would need to call in the next 24 hours... hahaha! Right... "Barbara" left a number of 866-318-6295. So I continued to call this number and didn't answer when they picked up, after about several calls to the company- Customer Contract Services- I heard this woman in the background tell the customer service rep "that number has been calling every 30 seconds... suddenly when someone calls to fight back with one of these crazy a** calls, WE are seen as awful people. Jeez.

I ASKED TO BE PUT ON THEIR DO NOT CALL LIST BUT THEY STILL KEEP ON CALLING MY CELL.  ANY IDEA HOW I CAN STOP THIS?

I have been informed that this number may be part of an automatic dialer. The sole purpose of this is to gain a list of valid working telephone numbers. They have a system that will dial a number and wait for a response. There is nothing specific, as far as cell or land-lines, as to what number they dial. Here is how it works: The program calls a random number (ex 603-555-1212) then the scheme relies on people hitting "1" to be placed on the do not call list. When this is done, it basically validates this is a good working number. Then it moves to the next number (ex 603-555-1213) and the process keeps happening over and over again. When a caller answers and hits the option to be put on the do not call list, the number is then input into a "working number" database. The database is then sold to businesses for big bucks. I am not sure how they are getting away with not abiding by the National "Do Not Call List", but I am trying to look into this.
