companies....way to go Kevin, I delt with him a few times with my company in NYC, this guy is bad news all the way around... another one bites the dust...I bet Kevin got away scott free too.

Lawyers who worked for a now-shuttered New Hampshire law firm that got into the mortgage modification business told of their ethical qualms in a hearing Thursday into alleged legal violations.
Assistant attorney general Karen Gorham is alleging that lawyer Dan Dargon ran ?a loan modification mill,? the Concord Monitor reports. The Dargon Law Firm got into the practice last year, she said during the banking hearing, after spending $100,000 on leads that gave him mortgage information leading to potential clients.
The state banking department says Dargon's firm charged $2,500 up-front for loan modifications, but failed to obtain the necessary license, according to WMUR.com. He is accused of violating the law on 108 occasions. Dargon maintains the state banking department has no authority to regulate lawyers.
Joseph Becher testified he was the only lawyer working for Dargon until he started taking on mortgage modification clients in 2009, according to the Concord Monitor account. Soon the law firm had more than 30 employees, Becher said, and it began to "turn into a business where the primary objective was how to get clients in and out of the door as expeditiously as possible while still meeting our contractual obligations."
Becher said he quit in May because he was troubled by how Dargon was running the law firm.
Lawyer Jeffrey Merrill joined the firm in December and resigned in February, about two weeks after he heard the law firm?s head telemarketer say he wanted to get away from a ?consultative sell? that focused on whether the potential client qualified for assistance. Instead the telemarketer wanted to begin more of an ?emotional sell? emphasizing the "pain and anguish people feel when they get that foreclosure notice."
"That is completely unethical," Merrill said.
According to WMUR.com, Dargon maintained that many experienced lawyers stuck with his firm until it closed, and they had ?absolutely no problem with the way things were run.?

I worked with Kevin Hurley at warranty and let me tell you, this guy is the absolute scum of the Earth. He would steal from his own mother.

no offense but most of you need a reality checkk. half of the people defending the phone number are part of this scam company, first of all. second of all, i don't even own a car and i CONSISTENTLY get calls from these fake numbers weekly. disregard it.

I've tried everything I know to do to stop these people from calling me. I am on a fixed income and have a 14 year old auto with over 200,000 miles on it - and I've repeatedly told them this, to no end. I have relatives all over the country, and seeing a call outside my area code does not alert me that the call if from a nut. I answer my cell, and I'm charged!!

Does anyone know how to stop these disreputable people??

How does a phone call charge you money? Land lines are are a fix payment, cell don't take up min unless you answer. Check the better biz to see that they are real and are selling real policy. you have no clue. dealerships have been taking people for years but you'll by one from them. How about you use the inter-net for research instead of being an idiot

Here's an idea- Let's call Keving Hurley as much as he calls us! I found his personal cell phone number and apparently he's been involved with many a sales scam in his lifetime! He just loves to put the screws to innocent people sadly. Timeshares, Vacation clubs, you name it, he's sold it.

are you that lame to think that there is only one company out there who sells warranties...theres over 47 other companies out there doin business like this who use the SAME dialer...its not one companies fault.

THis is a scam operation!!!  They claimed their extended warranty was half of what Chrysler would offer, they needed $300. right away and they were listed with the Better Business Bureau.
 They were listed with the BBB as Unsatisfactory
 I called Chrysler, Chrysler's plan was half of what General Warranty Services offered me.  THey have only been in business for one year.
 I told their secretary, that she could call me back in one day after I checked them out and compared them with Chrysler's offer. Right after I checked them out the phone rang. He said that they would have to void any agreement with me that the offer was only good if I decided to do it now.
  Scam!!!  Don't let them fool you.

My mother has received numerous calls from General Warranty Services.  I've told her by no means to give out any information.  My car is old as dirt any warranty on it expired years and years ago.  

She has asked to be removed from their list which hasn't happened yet because I happened to answer their call today.  I asked to speak to a manager and got some silly recording aaking me to leave my name and number.

This is an unsolicited phone call that charges my mother money on her cell phone bill.  Whether she buys "warranty coverage" from this company or just answers their phone calls she's still paying for something she doesn't want.  Isn't that ironic?  Looks like the FTC should do a little more work before claiming the registry is working!

This company identifies themselves as General Warranty Company, and makes it sound like they're calling about an existing warranty for your vehicle.  It appears to be some type of warranty sales, and when you call them back the 408 area code number that they called from says it's not a working number.  The 603 area code number takes you to their call center, where they ask for the make and model of your vehicle to "further assist you".  We have asked many times to be removed from their call list, and are still receiving calls from this company.  Now we have started to call them with embarrassing questions and inuendo, and they don't seem to like it.
