Of course there are laws against this.  There are laws against bank robbery too.  Crooks still rob banks.  Crooks still call when you are on the DO NOT CALL list.  They're crooks.  They don't care what the law says.

Can you imagine what would happen if you gave THESE bums your credit card number?

I let them talk to me for 15 minutes while I "exercised" in my pool. yes, they wanted to give me a free installation of security equipment and the equipment was free, but the monitoring cost 39.95/month. anyhow as they were getting around to setting up an appointment (would have like someone to have shown up), he mentioned there was a 5 year contract, and I asked, what happens if in a year or two I die, or am in a nursing home..he started to say. ?I do not think we have a technician in your area, and I said..too bad you do not honor the do not call list?..you wasted YOUR TIME?me I?m in the pool.  Love it??

Robo-call. It says they can install some sort of home security system, all I have to do is put one of their signs in my front yard. Then it says push 1 for more info or push 9 to be placed opn their do-not-call list.  I always push 9 but I get another robo-call every two weeks or so. If you call them back you get a recording that says push 1 to be put on the d-n-c list, or hold if you wish to speak to a human. No matter what you do, after about 10 seconds you are disconnected. Isn't there a law against this??

The "Do Not Call List" only works with legitimate companies, it doesn't work for crooks or scammers.They use "SPOOFED" phone numbers - Google "spoofed phone numbers" and you'll see why it's almost impossible to track them down or stop them.
Congress just refused to pass a "Cyber-Security" law because some Industries said it would cost too much.

I want to know what happened to the Do Not Call List

Same call received.  These people are a pain and there's no way to find out who they are since they spoof their various phone numbers.  I hope someday technology catches up and they find a way to either block or trace these calls and put them out of business.

Why is we can take out a building with a bomb from half a world away, use satellites to hone in on anyone's house in any country and read a freaking license plate from space but our government cannot manage to stop these robocalls. I am so sick of these calls. Doesn't matter how many times I press "1," yell, swear or complain they just keep coming. It is the same company all the time. Either this security crap or CardMember Services.

Kept this idiot on the line for 10 minutes. When you waste their time they hate it. Dumb non english speaking thieves.

Selling home security.  Offer to install a free security system if they are permitted to put a sign in my yard.

This number called. No message left. Probably a telemarketer using a robodialer, illegal in most states.

Robocall - kept going after I hung up.

Caller ID = SECURITY APP; was a recording spewing FBI stats, probably a security company, I hung up.

Just answered the phone, ID Security App. Pressed 1 so I could get a live person and gave him 2 words!
I am over 50 and have never said that on the phone to anyone! It was liberating and when I hung up I blocked the number. Guess I'm still mad from TUE!

Caller ID: SECURITY APP...603-689-9693.  I never answer my phone unless I recognize the Caller ID as someone I'd like to talk to.  Plus, I've turned off my answering machine so the phone rang 8 times.  I'd much rather hear my phone ringing than to listen to the BS offered up from some a**hole telemarketer.

Called me and nobody was there.
