Call is a scam recorded person pitching alarm services or google add placement. Do not give personal info! If you press 1 to be added to their DNC it will not work. Best thing to do is block number or do not answer!
Autodialer 2013-09-06 01:19:31 Unknown
Called but left no message.
FJ 2013-09-05 21:50:32 Unknown
this is a funny one. my caller id says, "Customer care", b ut when you called it just says, "hello, if you want to be placed on the do not call list, please press 1 now". i did not press 1. it looped through the "please press 1 now" 5 times then disconnected me. no company was identified, no human around.
very odd.

These scammers must be hitting NM now, I just got a call from them a minute ago. It came in on my business line but regardless, I never answer calls from numbers I can't identify. This one showed up as "LOCAL WEB" just as the earlier complaints on this number reported. It sounds like the morons making the calls don't know how to configure their number spoofing software correctly. No matter, they're now blocked.

call from "customer care" 603-834-6333. recorded message for free home security system. What I don't understand is this number has been shown since 2011 and the telemarketing calls continue. I have records of the same call from numerous numbers. What good is the do not call complaint list?

Just called, a recorded message said" CONGRATULATIONS your home has been selected to receive a free home security.. " And then I hung up LOL I normally never answer stuff but like a dummy did this time. LOL

Got my first call from them. Have learned to irecognize the area codes of many of these scammers with the fake i.d.'s. I never pick up. They called on my fax/phone combo line and I simply hit the fax tone button. On my straight phone line I have a call-blocker which i would have used.
Art Rooney 2013-06-22 03:04:05 Unknown
Something new with them....they're IDing themselves as "Customer Service". A good blocker is really your friend.
Mia Tes Acle 2013-06-21 21:13:16 Unknown
Got a call stating that they would be able to get our web page on the fist page of Google.I stated we were already on the first page of Goole and most other search engines, they very rudely hung up.

Female ROBOT calling for locallighthouse.com in Orange County. "Rick" claimed his company is a sub-contractor for Bing, Google, and Yahoo, and that if you pay them lots of $$$, he can get one's listing on page 1 on Bing, Google and Yahoo. The robotic female voice claims to be calling from Google +. Very high pressure sales spiel. "Local Web" on CID.
V 2012-09-10 19:33:21 Unknown
Shows up as "Local Web" on my caller ID. I never once answered or spoke with them...just decided to look up their number to see if they were legit and saw all these comments. They used to call daily for a few weeks, but now they'll call maybe once or twice a month, if at all. Pressing 1 to remove yourself from a list or asking to be removed will not help you in the least. The best thing to do if you see an unfamiliar number with an out of state or 8XX area code is to simply not answer. By answering, you assure the scammers that there is a person at the other end & the calls will only increase in frequency.

I receive multiple calls from this phone number every week at my office. It is a recorded message that tells me that my company hasn't claimed it's Google listing.

We receive numerous calls from this scam company on our charity's emegency hotline. If you finally get someone on the line and ask to see their website (they want to fix yours) they hang up. All they want is your money. Beware.

I spoke to someone at Google's HQ about these calls just last week. I was told by the person I spoke to that Google has nothing to do with these calls, and that they have received other calls and emails regarding what is obviously fraudulent use of their name. Nothing was said about what if anything they're doing about it...
I'm a Police Officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. I called Google's HQ after getting numerous of these calls on my home landline...
If you get a live person, under no circumstances give them any personal information of any kind whatsoever - no matter how hard they try to impress you with the necessity that you provide it...
This is very likely some kind of scam...
And if you see any of the numbers mentioned on your Caller ID, simply don't answer. And if you have the ability to block the number, by all means do so...
And if you don't have Caller ID on your landline at home, by all means get it - at least you'll be able to identify these calls and simply not answer, thereby denying these people an audience...

I think we should all buy a police whistle and blow it very loudly into the phone. I am sure after several employees complain about not being able to hear any longer this shenanigans might stop!

This was another of those spammer calls from Google or one of their partners trying to get Home Owners to sign up as a business and use their Web site, etc. I have tried numerous times to get them to stop calling me without it happening. They don't even attempt to check the DNCL or use it to bother home owners.
Dave 2012-09-05 17:18:08 Unknown
Caller hung up.
I have over 30 area codes that i do not answer from!
I an on the DNC list but hell they keep calling!
no chump 2012-09-04 21:25:33 Unknown
no end to these calls...called my cell today, and I did not answer as I have gotten several other calls with 603 area code. No message was left. Apparently more people trying to scam you about moving you to the top of Google. Google people state they do not rate where your listing shows up any differently if you pay for an ad or not. More scammers.
