They are calling to offer you services in payday loan consolidation.  They claim to assist in stopping fraudulant interest rates to be charged, they talk to the creditors and make the stop calling you.  Apparently, it is payday loans are illegal in the state of PA and if you received one regardless of that, they assist in making sure that you don't pay the outrageous interest rates that they charge.  However, there is a one time fee for the service, but they help you in getting the loans paid in 6 months or less vs years in interest rates first.

Just received a call from this number  603-952-4419.  The person I got was so quick to tell me his name and company - something that starts with a "Z".  (I usually don't pick up on phone numbers I don't recognize, but of course with school and work place numbers, I have to pick up)  Anyway, he said he's calling for fundraising for the "New Hampshire Police" and then something about the kids at the Children's Hospital in Dartmouth, NH.  After asking him a couple of questions, like which New Hampshire Police department? Could he be more specific?  He started in with the Dare and Explorer programs, etc... Then I asked about the kids in the hospital.  I asked which one was he fundraising for or was he lumping them together?  He said he was fundraising for both! What?!?!?!  

I called them back and got a recording for customer care line for "The New Hampshire Police Association"  Perhaps I'll keep "robo" calling them and hanging up until I get a "real person" to talk to.

Phishing, scamming, and fraudulent. "They" are getting better "callers" to elicit information and money from unsuspecting people.  Even if they are um, "legit" - they still take a huge percentage of donated money.  As for the FTC Do Not Call service; they are talking about the National Directory that the FTC has put together.  NOT every company is on that list.

If you do get a call from those who are not covered under the FTC list; Get the name of the company, name of the person, the phone number (caller ID), tell them you want to be put on their do not call list. Sometimes you may have to call another number or be transferred, if that is the case, and you happen to be 'disconnected' continue to record the date and time of the call AND record the DO NOT CALL request and who you spoke to or what happened.  *I like to record these things on my online calendar and put a monthly repeat on it, so I can easily find it for reference and I put it in my file.  Especially during an 'election' season - lots of charities and fundraising calls are going to be happening - so its worth being prepared.  *I give my hard earned dollars directly to the charities where they can cut out the middle marketing companies.

This is a private company hired by Salem police union to try and get people to donate $$ for whatever cause they are currently fund raising for. They should really think twice before hiring people like this because it really puts their department in a bad light. These people are beyond rude, that is if you can even get them to talk to you when you answer the call. Best to just let it go unanswered, and don't bother pressing 9 when the recording starts (which is suppose to take you off the list) I did it son many times in the last year but surprise they keep calling.

Yes, I have a daughter currently working in Salem, so a call from "Salem, NH" concerns me.
I see that it is a police fund-raiser.  You know that the Do Not Call list is a joke when even the police refuse to honor it!

This number calls my house daily. Sometimes twice daily. Never leaves a message. Very annoying. I'm on the do not call list. Obviously means nothing to them.

Got a call from this number and no message left. I believe this is a contracted tele marketing company.

I think this is the police making these calls.

Calls every day from 7am to 10 pm. They work for the police but it's not the police themselves. Removing number doesn't work especially if you have ever contributed before. Using a phone with a call block is the only answer. The phone rings once and that's it. They are treated to a message that this number is currently not excepting calls. My machine talks to their machine. Done.

I recieve a call from this number just about daily when I'm not home during the week, never leaves a message. I called it back it says it is from the Salem Police Association looking for donations, after hours they say to call an "800" number if you want to donate. I did hear about a scam not too long ago about people calling saying they are from the Police, this sounds like a scam.

Got a call today 5/2 5:35pm  answered, heard some noise in the background and they hung up.

Calls anytime from 7am to 10pm at least twice a day with nobody answering. Its a person breathing and I can hear what sounds like other people or TV in the background. I am on the DNC list but cant get them to stop calling.

do as the above messages state.  Call the 800 telephone number, an automated service, and your number will be removed.

He wanted to talk to the head of household. I asked who he was and was given a name of John Reed. I challenged the sucker to come and see me if I was so important.  I am on a search for this turkey and when I find him I'll give you all a opportunity.

this guy called more than twice. the last time he got my 11yrold said that he was doing a courtisy(sp?) call for the head of household, then asked for my EX husband by name, who has never lived here or had my phone number.

this number is calling from the NH Police Association. They are looking for money.

as i dont use my home phone for anything but outgoing calls (i have cell phones) i have mine automatically forward all calls to the RickRolled Hotline.  It works great to get the past owner of the phone numbers collectors to stop calling.  I then go through the call logs and call them back later telling them to remove the number.

got a call from this number at 5:32 PM on 4/27/11 according to caller ID. No message left. Did some research and found it is a land line in Salem, NH.

Not sure who this is... just got a call looking for my husband and when I said could I help them they hung up. I was a woman calling.

I've been getting calls for weeks from this number.  Even on mother's day morning.  I want them to stop calling but the calls keep coming.  It is frustrating.

i've been getting about two calls a day from this number for the last week. so annoying. in the past I've taken calls and even contributed to the police fundraiser thing, but they always at least id'd themselves on caller ID. Now it seems they've gone undercover, so to speak.

I just received a call from them. I did not answer because I didn't recognize the number. I am glad I found this site! I tried calling back an it did say it was a police non profit thing,  it also said it was automated. Hopefully I do not receive anymore calls!

We get multiple calls from this number everyday.  There is never any answer on the other line, nor do they leave a message on our answering machine.  We called the number back and it was the NH Police non-profit association.  The customer service number to call and be removed from their call list is now 800-378-0957.  Follow the machine prompts, which should be to enter 9 and then 1 to confirm your removal from their calling list.

Received call from SALEM(NH) 603-952-4419 5/21 8:05pm and again 5/22 7:27 pm.  No msg. I always check caller id and do not answer these calls but they are intrusive and annoying.

How do we end these unwanted calls?

I just picked up the phone when they called at 8:04pm and they hung up, since I registered with www.Donotcall.gov  I thought that we would not get anything as far as solisters if this is who they are?
