I can not stand debt collectors

I missed a call from this number, they let my phone ring only two or three times before hanging up or not leaving a message when prompted.  I googled the number right away and saw a previous post about CCS Credit Collections Services (This really is them).  I have perfect credit and no closed or delinquent accounts, so I thought it best to get to the bottom of this.

I called back and a gentleman answered didn't introduce himself or his company and asked me for my number so he could pull my file.  He put me on hold and came back several minutes later with my name and said that I owed AllState Auto Insurance a very large sum of money.  I told him that I have never done business with AllState and that I didn't understand.  He brought up my previous auto coverage with another agency and said that it wasn't sufficient and they were coming after this balance owed.  (I was in an accident over a year ago and was found not at fault when we went to court.  My insurance company has done their part, but this issue keeps rearing its ugly head.)  AllState never made an attempt to collect this from me directly, yet it's in collections...?

He said that I should have received correspondence from the company.  I asked what address it was sent to and he did give my current mailing address, but then said the letter was sent out today.  (He must think they have magical mail boxes that deliver instantly...it's not Email buddy!!)  I told him that I'd review the letter when it arrives and contact my insurance company before I take any action.  He seemed to be put off by this, but I think it's perfectly reasonable.  He then asked if I was prepared to make a payment.  Really?!?  I just told you I want to speak with my insurer, I haven't even seen any documents, you called and left no message (real professional!) and you're trying to collect an amount that's probably more than your annual salary.  I think not!!!  

He begrudgingly moved on and gave me the website www.warningnotice.com  There are two options on the front page, "Notice" and "Message".  He told me to select "Notice" and enter my File Number (which he provided) and my zip code.  The other option allows you to enter your phone number and the file number, which should have been left in the message that the company doesn't leave for you on your voice mail when they call and hang up without making any effort. :)

scam call do not answer

i get calls from this number all the time and i want it to stop.

This number calls my cell everyday. I do not know who it is. Just want it stopped.

This number calls my cell phone , at least twice a day on average. I have the number when it calls, the time of day to. I have no idea why it calls, who it is or anything. I do want it to stop. I have many other way more important calls to be paying attention to. If this is soliciter, not interested. Destroy any info. you have of mine. If the calls continue, I will bring proper legal athorities into the matter at hand.

I think they r collection agent for allstate for car accident.

This number has called numerous times, talk too fast to understand them.

This number keeps calling and calling and never leaves a message!

They answer as CCS there they want your phone number.  They try to scam you on the phone

They call me and let it ring once then hang up before I can answer.

They keep calling my daughters cell asking for me but wont say why and refuse to leave a message as to the nature of the call

they never leave a message, plus they are long distance area code

I get numerous calls from this number, with no explanation or message

A lady answers, ask for my phone # and I refuse to give it.

It was a agent about my recent car accident.
