604 200-xxxx is a magic jack phone number from Vancouver bc

Called at 3:19 pm and left no message.

20:00 call; no message; first time called.

Oct 20 2008:  12:47 call shown on CID log, no message.
Oct 21 2008:  17:27 call shown on CID log, no message.
Oct 22 2008:  19:25 called, hung up mid-way through my outgoing message.

(604) 200-1224 - 19:01 call on CID Log.  Unavailable Name.  No message.

this number has been showing up on my caller ID list every day for the last 2 weeks (that's 14 times!!).  no message is ever left but sometimes the calls are made just before the 9:30 pm cut off.  ever since i placed my number on the federal no call list, i've been inundated with telemarketers.

It's the Arthur Griffiths campaign for the byelection on Oct. 29th.

They're not governed by the telemarketing rules, because political parties are exempt.

Me too.  After I signed up for the no call list all of a sudden I'm getting a dozen calls a day...

Some guy who claims to be from the Liberal Party, asking me how I am voting etc.  Knew mine and my wifes name.

Very odd.  I wonder what the source of this number is?  It almost seems like it may be dynamically generated number.

Voice message on answering machine:
Male caller with an American'ish accent, chewing on gum or dinner,
while watching tv..?
The male caller murmurs in a soft tone
"Thank you Mr. Ford"
More background sounds, person gets up n walks away from phone, returns while breathing into mic, clears his throat.
Then hangs up no specific message or request made or left.

Please note this call sounded similar to another one left a few months ago
where caller says
"911 was a lie!"
and then hangs up.
