Receive calls from this and other spoofed numbers. Good strategy is to string them along and waste their time. Pretend to be really dumb and ask them to repeat constantly. Caller usually has heavy accent in English. I also speak to them in foreign languages and blow an air horn into the receiver. Scum! No third-world country is ever going to raise the standard of living of its people by forcing them into slavery to perpetrate scams on the First World!

There would be no purpose in returning a call to the card service scammers, as all they want to do is fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can use it to support their drug addictions. No one has ever had their number removed from their calling list, and our calls will only be met with a hangup, obscene comments, or even death threats, plus it will incur us the price of a long distance call. We must all understand this is not a legitimate company--only a bunch of lowlife junkies, trying to rip us off.

The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers so they can rip us off. People that have given these lowlifes their card number have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these junkies, and warn others, before they are taken advantage of!

Sick and tired of these low life scammers calling every fricken day and the phone service provider has no information about who they are. Does't Telus suppl phone numbers. You can pay a research company 4.99$ and they can give you all the information but your service provider can't?! How does that work? If I lived in Vancouver I'd pay the research company for the info then go pay these scums a VERY NASTY visit!

I've been getting a call from this number and a recording asks you to press #1 to lower your credit card rates. I pressed it so that I could ask to be removed from their phone list. The operator comes on and says that they are calling from Visa Card Services. They hang up when I make my request. I then called the actual Visa Card Services and they assured me that Visa never makes those calls. Who ever these people are they are trying to get personal info from you.

If you have a phone service that has a call block feature you can add the number. I am with Shaw and I simply dial #60 and it directs you to add the last number called. I can add up to 30 phone numbers (wish it was more).
The Do Not Call list is pretty lame and I watched MarketPlace where they dealt with this issue and the show was able to track down the telemarketers but the Government apparently couldn't!!  All you can do is go on the website and lodge a complaint and hope they follow through, but I find the call block a better option.

Good luck!

I got a message something along the lines of "This is your last and final notice regarding your credit card account. Press 1 to lower your interest now!"

I receive calls from this number pretty frequently and figured it was a scam call, so decided to see how the "agent" would respond to nonsense. I pressed 1 and waited for the transfer, then began mooing like a cow. The agent responded with "Go f*** your mother, you mother f****r" (original). I'm pretty sure no credit card company would employ such a foul mouthed agent. The scammer stayed on the line, continuing to insult me, much to my amusement.

If you get a call from these scammers, moo at them for a laugh. I'm sure they'll start getting mad if they get mooed at multiple times a day.

Robocall from "Credit Card Services". Pressed 1 to connect to a live agent. Call answered very promptly. asked agent to repeat back to me the number that showed up on her display to verify that they had the right phone number. Was the correct number, and asked to have the number not called further (As IF they are going to do it). Liked ideas presented by "Anthony H Slowitz" (google it).

You're sure right about wasting the "card services" scammer's time as a way of stopping their calls! They won't call back people who act sincere in accepting their offer, but give false information, taking up their time. I made up a "script" nearly a year ago and used it on them a few times and the calls stopped. Like you said, it can be fun making bigger fools of them than they already are. To view what I did simply Google my name. By the way, most of the calls from these lowlifes originate from down here in the U.S.

Same thing here.  These idiots just called me on July 6th in Montreal with the same scam to lower my credit card rates.   They are also calling from 1-604-298-3708 (or any number they can spoof!)

?This is a Very important notice about your credit card bla bla bla. This is your second and final notice as it relates to the financial aid stimulus bla bla please press 1...?

There IS something you can do.
First, if you have time to spare, please try to waste their time as much as possible.  (Time they can't spend defrauding someone else more gullible then you).
Answer, speak immediately so the computer will transfer to a live person. Then have fun with it, tell them you are so interested, but keep doing things, like answering doorbell, getting pen and paper, getting credit card (but do NOT give it out!).

The more you can waste that live person's time (and wages) will get you off call lists faster than any "do not call" list. I do this, and they never call again, and I have rarely been getting new calls.

Hit them where it hurts, the wallet.

If a nice percentage of people did this, all telemarketing would probably stop...

Also, If you have a blow horn handy, now is the time to use it!

Second, If you are in Canada Please complain here.

If you are un the U.S  Complain here

If enough people complain they WILL do something about it.  Strength is in numbers!  Please complain on one of the links above.  Complaining here or to them will do nothing!

The callers, the card service scammers, have absolutely no association with our credit card companies--although they would like us to believe they do! They pretend to be associated with our credit card companies in an attempt to fool us into giving them our card numbers so they can rip us off in order to pay for their drugs.
