Got caught by this one as I'm expecting a call form the area code. Hung up as soon as I realized it was a recorded message.

They just called here in Ottawa, I never answer these calls but I wish to thank the people who do answer and leave their feedback on this forum. Not that it makes a big difference, I always report these calls to the CRTC.

The messages  about credit cards

I played too. "Wow you are Indian, calling from India???". "I am Indian calling from Toronto". and the rest I couldn't understand what he was saying and asked someone else who speaks English. He told me that he would transfer to his supervisor. I laughed loud when the next guy came on the line because he has the same accent. It was again hard to understand but talking about good rate or something. I said "I have good one already. How good is yours? What do you want?". He said "your puXXy". He claimed over and over that he has big XXXX, asked my facebook, gave me the number area code starts at 403, and so on and on... I expressed what I like and seemed making him upset. "FXXX yourself" he, "Thank you I will! I must be much better than with you". He hung up.

I got the very same message today.

Pushed 1 to speak to an agent, rang about 10 times.  He told me his name and asked how I was.  I very sternly told him to take my number off the list,  than he screamed 'Fuckkkkkk' in my ear, than silence.  I hung up.

Got a call from 604-254-9895.
I quicky googled while phone was ringing and found this page.
I quickly read through it while the voice message prompted me to hit 1 to talk to someone.
By that time I already knew i was going to talk to a scammer.
Male Eat-Indian accent answered the phone.
I played his game for a while and made him lose time.
Then after a bit. I just said``Buddy, I know this is a scam... Thanks for giving me the time to trace your number`` ``Trace COMPLETED!!``
The guy started stuttering like I actually managed to scare him then he hung up.

Credit card scam. Push 1 to speak to a representative. East Indian accent. Called number showing: out of service.

Just got a call from this no. 604-254-9895 and telemarketer.  Hey, folks we should all get  together to form a class lawsuit action against this company, if you know a lawyer we should get together for a meeting to file a complaint against this company.  They are always calling our private tel. nos.  Start the ACTION now!!

Today I got this call from 604-254-9895, and the recorded voice said, "This is Jennifer, from Consumer Services . . . in regards to your current account . . . we can see if you qualify for reduced interest rates on your credit card . . .  press 1 to speak to an agent . . .  press 9 to be removed from this list . . ."  I was quiet, I heard the message repeated 4 times, and then, since I pushed no numbers and said nothing, the caller hung up.  No legitimate consumer services would make a call like this.  I don't bother sending my complaint to the DNCL anymore, because it makes no difference.  In 2012 I got 54 scam calls (all of which I reported), and in 2013 I got 56 scam calls (none of which I reported).  The "reduce your credit card rates" is one call I have received many times each year, for years  - ho hum, old stuff.  

Just got a call from this number. I did not answer and never will. to 604-254-9895: go get a real job, instead of annoying people with your junk!!!!! :(

I also got a call from this number and same thing , number is not in service , I don't get it . Computer says this is a Vancouver Bc. number

I pressed one to get removed from their list, only to be threatened by a male employee stating he was going to shoot me in the head, than my family.  Not impressed!

Just for a laugh I hit the #1 key to see what this was all about. Someone that can't speak very good english told me that my "Master Credit Card" was paid on time. I told him there was no such thing as a "master credit card" these morrons haven't a clue what they are talking about. All they want to know is your credit card numbers. DON'T BE A FOOL and give these idiots any banking or credit card information.

Its a spoofed phone number.  Not even in service!!

They are already lying to you, using fake phone numbers.  NEVER deal with scumbags like these ones!

First scam nuisance call of 2014!  Your Government Agencies at work to prevent this crap. And thanks for paying all your taxes to fund our programs.

They have no professional.   manners and yes they just hang up. Someone needs to do more then just have theses companies continue to harass.  citizens continuous.  When report a phone number what happens.

Got a call from them yesterday. When asked how they could help me, I told them they couldn't since I pay 0% interest on my non-existant credit card. I then told the guy to take me off their list and not to call again. Ii slammed the receiver down. [insert giggling here] I then saved that number in my cordless phone's call blocking feature.

They requested an account number. Obviously, a phishing scam to obtain personal information.  Scam.
