Call Display can be tricked. It is possible to use an out-of-service number or an innocent/ third party number to avoid detection just like money transfer services. All it takes is one annoying call to prompt the recipient to block that number, unless the caller(s) try another trick. I wish the telecoms had Call Denial, just like web filters can block out unwanted websites.

The reason you cannot call this number back is because this number is what is called a "spoofed" number.  They fool your called ID into believing this is the number that they are calling from, when in fact they are not calling from that number.  This is sometimes done by collection agencies when you will not answer their 800 numbers that identify them.  You can look up "spoofed calls" on the web to see how it is done technically.  Hope this helps everyone.

I got a call from them and I pressed 1 to speak to someone. When they answered I got very vulgar with the guy on the other end. I am hoping to get reported so this way I will get a better chance to find out who this loser is.

I have received 4 calls from 604 404 7319 at all hours of the day or night lately - so I have purchased 'Call Screen' for my landline and they are going to be the first one's to be put on it - lol! :)

They call a few times a day & won't leave a message...not even sure which company this is....

This is really getting tiresome.  604 area code is from British Columbia.  The company called me this afternoon and it was a recording going on about credit debt.  I am so tired of this kind of stuff.  I tried to call the number and it says it is out of service and then it says it is not available at this time.  Can't even make up their mind what they want to tell you.  Since this is a number calling within Canada, they under violation of the privacy act.  I am on a do not call list and they are not supposed to be calling unless you have done business with this company.  I don't do business with these people since I do not have any credit card debt or any debt of any kind.  I don't know how to stop their calls.

Sorry for you "newfiegirl".  That is just not right to be calling at those hours and you with an ill parent!!

got a call from  604 404 7319 this morning and did not leave a message.  I think this a scammer or telemarketers.

Called with a recorded message stating that if I'm sick of getting calls like this, I should talk to a credit counsellor (and to stay on the line).  Did not identify the company.

Called from this number and they hang up over and over again. Reported the number to the CRTC.

keep getting calls from 604 404 7319 at all hours of the day or night, some days i get 6 and 7 calls from these people...i have a sick mother and these people have even called my home at 3 and 4 oclock in the morning!! frightening me thinking something might be wrong with mom and it ends up being these people!!! and they will still keep calling in the wee hours of the morning, what do it take to stop them?

The so-called "Do Not Call List" is a joke.  These people along with others just like them are relentless, and make me consider getting rid of my land line

Got a call from them today and didn't pick up.  I called the number back just to see what I'd get, and I got a message saying that number is no longer in service.  Interesting.  They are calling from a number no longer in service.  I wonder how they do that.

Keep getting calls from this number. Called back and its out of service.  Probably some scammers setting a ghost caller ID.

Same scammers as others have reported. Called right at dinnertime (5:57 pm). Recorded message:  'If you're tired of being bothered by creditors.... '
I've blocked the number and also reported this outfit to Canada's CRTC. I'm on the do not call list...for all the good it does.

I got a call at 16:43 MST today.  Same BS as listed above.

They called here for the first time today.
After reading the above posts, I have now call blocked the number.

They call everyday!! Please have them stop if you can.

Someone calls from this number and then does not leave a message.  This number cannot be found via 411.ca.  I am busy with my home business and these interruptions are frustrating.  I am on the phone talking to a nurse and the damn call-waiting is beeping out half of the conversation.

Today (March 3/11) at 1:00 p.m.  Recording starts out "If you're bothered by creditors...."

Called today at 12:32pm and I picked up. Nobody on the other end. Just a quiet line. Im assuming is a program calling all numbers and seeing who is picking up or who has an active line for telemarketing services later on.

called feb 25 at 5:16 - no msg left

called at 3:06 pm  c.t., no message, problably a scammer!

Phoned and left no message.
