A call came in this morning which I didn't answer. It showed up as 1-909-575-2870 on my cell phone caller ID, but on the Rogers bill it showed up as 604-418-2396. They didn't leave a message but Rogers still charged me 40 cents.

this number is showing every month 15 to 20 times.I just check my old statements and I am in shock,it is going on since 2008.
average $8 per month x 26 month =$208
I am also getting calls from 604-418-3471
Please send me refunds!
I am contacting Police and The Better Business Bereau.

I just called Rogers again yesterday. The customer rep gave me another run around until I finally said we would go to the Police and also contact The Better Business Bureau. Immediately I was told that we would get a credit for all the charges left by that number!!!! But I was warned that the charges would reapear once we initalize our voice mail again. So what use would this phone be to us without the voice mail????? We will us up the credit they gave us and then change provider again.

Same as Jenny, I am also getting calls on my pay-as-you-go Rogers phone to my voicemail and it is using up my minutes as well.I think we should all call Rogers and demand refunds...I am going to email them tomorrow.  I am also getting calls from 604-418-3471, 604-484-8782 and 778-786-0013 at home.  All 4 of these numbers originate at the same location in Vancouver (see http://www.whitepages.ca/reverse_phone to see what I mean!)  This is not acceptable!!!  They are asking for money - someone should be ale to block these calls for us...

My cell account is in Canada. I live in Canada.
I saw this on my bill as charged for roaming charges, during the days while I was travelling in the USA.
I didn't call this number. I don't recognize this number.
I called Rogers and told them this.
I also told them that the only Canadian number I know I called was the Rogers Customer Service number which was texted to my by Rogers, which said it would be a free call from USA if I wanted assistance while travelling in the USA.
The number they gave and which I dialed was 514-734-7699 .

The Rogers customer service rep who was listening to my complaint about the roaming charges at first couldn't believe there may be a connection between the two numbers. He put me on hold for a minute or so and then came back and said I would receive credit back for the roaming charges.

Did you find a reason for this? I talked to Rogers and they say it means when the phone is off (or even if voice mail not initialized) and someone calls, leaves a message or the message can not be left since voice mail is not initialized it shows this number.

I didn't get a call from this number, but it is the number shown on my phone bill for calls to Rogers voicemail
