This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.

They called but left no message.  Newmarket area.

Calls frequently. Never leaves a message. Left a complaint with the CRTC.

Received a call from 604-422-0881. I picked up and listened th the speel on lowering interest rates and asked for business name, she said Card Services = scam. I also called the phone # and you get a recording "not in service". DON'T FALL FOR THIS...IT IS A SCAM.

I received a call from this number yesterday and also wanted my credit card information to lower interest rate to 6%...be aware, this is a scam!

Sounds like a similar scam as the one for duct cleaning. Do you think they are also in Pakistan? My call was silent, then hung up. I think we should swampt CRTC, Bell, Telus and everyone else we can think of with weely complaints. Oh ya! Include as many MPP's as you can too.

I have found an easy way to eliminate these parasites, one call center at a time.  I looped together 3 different fax machine sound effects off YouTube, amplified them and recorded them as my answering machine message.  People who know me wait until the end of the squawking and leave a message.  Telemarketing and scam calls are usually computer-dialed and someone once mentioned the dialer removes phone numbers which it believes to be faxes to make more room for the suckers who pick up. It seems to even work with Karachi Kenny and his computer aces as they haven't called in three weeks. One of those guys threatened me with sodomy a couple of years ago.  I called the cops and they asked me "did you lose anything?" to which I replied, "No, I haven't been sodomized yet."  They told me to get off the phone because I was backing up the 911 traffic. No one will ever close these guys down.  It takes just one out of fifty dialed numbers which are successfully scammed to pay for all the miscues and keep these centers in business.

I keep getting calls from 604-422-0881, when I ask to speak to their supervisor the person on the other end hangs up. All I want is to get my number taken off their calling list.

I have gotten the phone call from this evening at 6:30 on March 27. He sounded foreign and asking me for my Visa or Master Card. I asked him which bank does he represent and no response to the question. He kept asking me if I wanted a lower interest rate and I asked him which card he wanted to lower. The person hang up in my ear.

Wanted to lower my interest rate for Visa/Mastercard. I asked if he knew what my balance was. He said he did. I asked how he could get lower than 0% because I pay off my card each month and there is never any interest added. Number is from BC, he said he was in Alberta, which makes me suspect he's far away (agree with India or Malaysia mentioned above).

They keep calling my phone. I haven't given anyone my number since I got it. My own mother doesn't even have this number. This is ridiculous. How can we report these idiots?

Has been calling me for some days, but doesn't speak after picking up the phone! Suspicious definitely.

Prerecorded message saying there is a problem with "Your credit card" and you should press 1 to talk to someone.   Obviously a scam.

This number called about lowering my credit card interest rate and I listened to the message...it then transferred me to an agent....the agent sounded foreign ...malasyia or india.....I asked what company they were calling from and he hung up.....

Got a call 5 minutes ago.  Didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message.

Called me and it looked like a suspicious number, so I didn't pick up.

An automated call about a final notice to save money on credit card interest. I let it repeat as often as it wanted. (I hope that runs up their phone bill.) Then I added this number to my "blocked calls" list.
