For months now I too have been getting harassed by wiggins adjustments. I'm so happy I found this site. I will be taking some of the advice given here. Thanks, for what you do to help the consumer.
My story pretty much mirrors what others have already posted, including calling the company and getting the run around. I'll be damned before they'll get a nickle from me. Their professionalism stinks! I just don't understand how companies can get away with these tactics! Some days I was getting as many as 4 calls a day.

Sorry to break it to you but you actually do not seem to have all your facts lined up. Yes you can quote the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and that part is correct. I work for a collections agency and I am only reading these reviews because a family member of mine received a notice from this company. Yes a collections agency can and will credit report a parking ticket from a private company if the company is legal and so is the ticket. Most tickets will have the legal warning of collections on the ticket or they will send out a letter with the warning. I have had police officers come to my office to pay these tickets. So I would not go around stating incorrect facts. Like I said though, the section you are quoting from the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and how you have suggested going about it is correct.

I HAVE BEEN RECEVING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER FOR OVER A YEAR. WHEN I RETURN THE CALL - this number is no longer in service!!! What gives?? This call is for BONNIE and she owes over $1000.---so what does this have to do with me!!! They phone at least 5 times a week and often before 8 a.m. I have reported to police and also shaw - also had the number blocked but they still keep calling me!!! MY CURRENT PHONE IS 604 475 5055 AND no Bonnie .

They call all the time but there is no answer on the other end !! Why bother ?? I gave taught my kids to just hit end call !! I have phoned these numbers back and they are just a busy tone hmmm

This number calls me roughly 10-30 times a day. Fills up my message box. Never a person on the other end, just an electronic voice. Calls from 6am - 10pm.

From someone who spent 15 years in upper management in the parking industry, I can tell you without a doubt that there is nothing that these collection and parking (private) companies can do to impact your credit. The "collection" letters have no teeth and are just filled with language to intimidate you into paying. If you receive a letter from "City Collections", it is simply Impark's in house collection agency and is just a bunch of kids who are hired with little or no experience. They are in the same office as Impark in the Landing building at 100 Cordova. Wiggins is an actual collection company, but again they can do nothing but harass you and won't impact your credit rating no matter what they might say. I just received a "recommendation to file suit" and had a really good laugh. It looks very serious and important, but is actually toothless as well. A recommendation to file suit is nothing but that, a toothless threat that will never be followed up on. A couple of interesting notes - parking companies are not allowed to keep your license plate and personal information on file. This means that if you receive another violation they must pay ICBC again to release the information and can't pull up the info from a previous ticket per the rules of ICBC's plate search program. So if you change your license plate and continue to receive notices under your old plate number, then they have kept your info on file and can be challenged and/or sued. Some people change their plate numbers regularly as that means that they can't access your information any more and it also means that they can't tow you from their lots. In addition, in order to tow they have to find you on their lot COMMITTING ANOTHER INFRACTION. If you are paid up they cannot tow you. The rule of thumb is that they can only tow on the third "unpaid violation". One more note - a tow truck driver cannot tow your vehicle while a living entity is inside. So if the tow truck is hooking you up, or pulling up to do so, simply get in the car and wait him out. He can't tow you and as he's paid on commission will eventually give up and go make some real money elsewhere. Same applies if there is an animal in the car. Apologies for the long winded message, thought it might be of help to some of you out th there dealing with this stuff.

Talk about a waste of skin. looser bait. Wiggins from Vancouver continued to call my house (7 Times ). The way these companies operate is unbelievable. Hire illegal immigrants with fake documents who cant speak English. Some will handle those calls . the remaining will be handled by the annoying Robo callers.. Its unjust and unfair that were the ones that continue to be violated.looking for payback:
Use wiggins for your next paintball adventure. target there vehicles, there buildings ,signs. posters,bill boards,trash talk on CRAIGSLIST,Post rants on you tube, mail packages of feces of any kind.first class!

I was on line learning about the abuse of technology. its one thing to use calling cards and your computer to lower your over all phone rates but these same people are able to pervert that technology using spoof numbers. They can call you any where in Canada the USA or in my case my demented neighbour. For example if Im online watching a movie or emailing the phone will ring . I look at the caller ID it will say WIGGINS but it come from any one of a thousand callers using Skype or Vonage.- of course theres companys that will offer the same download able software for free. Technology that cloaks there real identity and real number while they go about tormenting real people. Forget about phones altogether either you are home or youre not.

The toll free numbers are a complete wast of time. You get the complete run around.
Caller ID number is different from the number number they tell you to phone.

You can fill out a complain form from the C.R.T.C. ONE month to take in effect.
The Fax number leaves plenty of opportunities for office HI-JINX.
Tapping a sheet of paper end to end to form a never ending loop, ,write
the message of your choice,,dial their fax after hours and send them
the message.By the time someone gets around to the mountain of
paper they should be a little inconvenienced . you know what they say
about pay back.

I never received a call from wiggins but I recieved a letter today that says legal actiion will commence if i dont pay $ 116.76 by the 13th. It's regarding a diamond parking ticket from a few montha ago. I don't know what to do?

They trying to collect from me a non existing debt ( no contract) from evil City of Coquitlam Corporation. Even after I sent 3 times a fax, disputing the debt ( both corporation) Wiggins is still phoning me with via automated slave. So I just faxed the "do not call me" 30 times and filed a complains at BBB and consumer protection agency of BC, maybe they get the pictures. Now I am going start to charge (say $2,000.00 and hour or any part of) Wiggins for my time for negotiating a fraudulent claim or claim without a valid contract,,, lets all do the same,,, then a nice class action law suit..,,,,,

I just started getting these calls about a parking ticket from Diamond. I spoke with Diamond, as there was NO TICKET on my car, though they had my info. They gave me some lame excuse about saying that it wasn't their fault that I didn't actually get the ticket and if I didn't pay - collections. SO, I guess this is what this number is about.
Good to know that this will not affect my credit score. I have received a few calls so far, and ignored them. If you have a smart phone, (I have an android), you can block it and it will show in your logs but not actually ring. This is VERY convenient. Just saying.

Just call head office and get all redneck on them. 604 530 0211. Worked for me and it turned out in the end my name was actually Josh(though i didnt let them know that) and not Min, although it took a lot of arguing and ignorant remarks on my part but you have to be a dick to f*** a***oles!
Just call the number and unleash hell. If they hang up call back. It's been 2 hours now and no call. I was averaging 3 per hour all afternoon and evening.

DJ- Did you send them a letter certified, with confirmation return? If this is an out of statute debt, they can bug you up to a certain point. If it's not your debt & never was, what they are doing is illegal. I see they have never sent you a letter saying that you owe something. Phone calls don't count. Check the laws for your State.

I had sent them the "letter" as suggested by Consumer Protection and still the calls continued. I persisted and finally found an email address Wiggins, info@wiggins-adj.com. And actually got a response, "It's simple, pay the $80.00 bill, and we'll stop calling."
I am now in contact with someone (Executive Manager, ya right!) via email. and again, I've asked him directly, by email, to: "stop the calls. It is not my debt and I will not pay it."
