I have been visiting Canada on vacation and received over 400 of these f***ing calls all at 03:45 hrs in 5 f***ing time zones but not in the UK as yet. When I googled I found this page, and all you guys. The first time I thought it was a business client as the country code was +33 which is Belgium, & I do a lot of Business in Belgium. his is obviously a scam probably a routing software to stop traces - get account info re some holiday then strip your accounts - may be from Africa regular bunch of f***ing scam artists in Nigeria.

I had a call at 4;25 am. it was strange call.  at this time

I recieved 5 calls this morning from this number 604-550-7000 at first  the 4 calls were no I.D. available. There was a man on the phone everytime asking for Daaaavid and when i answered he kept repeating himself not allowing me to talk.I live in Quebec and i think it's a vancouver B.C. number . He called at 7:58 am and Vancouver time would have been 4:58 am. So what is the scam was he trying to connect to my phone line long enough to make some calls from my number? I hung up quick and when i threatened that i was phoning the police which i did he did not call back.

This number (1 604 550 7000) called me 07:00 in the morning. Does anyone know who this might be?

IJust received a call from this number 4:38 estern time, I did not answer cause I did not know the number.

I received a call from this number at 5:37am, Eastern Standard time. The caller ID showed as a BC # and no one would speak. Eventually a man spoke, he had an accent but only said hello a few times and then did not speak nor did he hang up.

This is the second type of scam/telemarketing calls I've had just this WEEK! Tried to call back, got 'call did not go through'.

I hope I don't constantly get calls. As soon as this number calls again, I will be picking up, finding out who they are and telling them very firmly that if they ever call again I will be forwarding it to the police so they can trace the REAL person calling.

Anyway, I wish these bastards would just leave us alone!

Yea i get calls from these guys all the time and apperently they know some of names,i tried calling back but i recieve no answers... Its pisses me off because who calls you 1am in the morning unless its an emergency.

Received a call from this # on my cell and landline at 09:43 PST... it said Telus, but I was out at the time. Tried calling back and got a busy signal. Used yellowpages site to trace it and found this site. It's theoretically a Vancouver #, but when I tried calling it, I was told to push 1 or 0 before dialing. Very odd...

Might be simply internet line and telcos are using this for forwarding international calls that are placed either in North America or elsewhere in the world and routed through this number. Very often cold calling marketing companies are using the same service to fake origin of their call. Isn't that illegal? I think it is, at least in Canada. But as I said, it could be legit. Generally speaking, it is sometimes really hard to say what is it. Could be a genuine call and a telecom company is routing it because the network overcrowded. Hope this helps.

I just searched it somewhere else, it says either "ROUNTINGNXX BC" or "ROUNTERXX BC"... So this is just voip type of service for routing calls. You could sue your telecom company for routing their calls throught internet. They are saving costs this way and ripping you off by charging you normal long distance charges for calls. (Unless you are usinig a calling card or a budget service from your telecom provider).. Hope this helps.

OK one more... there is another posting that says this is a "Spoofed Number ........ which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain...."
So here we go. But again, it could be simply a telephone forwarding service operated by a real company.

This number called my phone at 12:21 on a Saturday.  Did not leave a message.

this number just called me (july 6 2008 12 am)he said he was from pakistan and he wanted to be friend lol ..at first i thought it was some kind of joke but after i thought about it maibe he needed help of some kind i feel bad that i hanged up on him

I got a call from this number. but no messages

On holiday in Vancouver, Canada, from the UK. With my UK mobile and number. Got a call this morning at 7:50 from this number. Did not answer it, as I get charged for all incoming calls while abroad. Tried calling back on my partners landline.. comes up as a restricted number.. whatever that means.
Judging by what I have read so far (and on the other pages about 0016045507000, same number different format) It's a form of phone spam/scam. I simply blocked the number on my mobile. bye bye!

My wife lives in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, when she calls me, 604-550-7000 shows up.  So basically, whatever prepaid mobile phone card she has uses this number when calling Canada.  By the way, (604) is the Vancouver area code.

I've been getting calls for a few weeks now.  I never answer when I see this number, and don't intend to!

I had called Dell computer sales regarding an item I wanted to buy. I wasn't able to complete the purchase and asked them to call me back later. This is the number that they called me back from. Apparently, it is some kind of interchange number in British Columbia and many companies use it.

Called my business number this am-wanted to verify my address-when I asked who was calling he said he was calling from Talus International, that they track business moves. Asked if my address was the old address, I said no-then he asked if its was my new address-I said yes--then he asked how long ago we moved.  I hung up.  Not sure what is going on here--the person calling had a foreign accent (latin american maybe), I am in the US.

This number is Dell Computers sales department.  I spent a lot of time chatting woith them about systems online.  didn't make the sale ... yet.  as soon as I stopped chatting, they started calling the number I provided them in the chat.  So if any of you were recent;ly dealing with Dell, mystery solved .....

This number is Dell Sales.  I hang up on them because their sales people don't speak coherent english.  Right after i hang up, i started getting the calls.
