This is a complete scam .. I fell for it ... I did talk them down to only $150 but in four months of having the ad up it generated nothing ... I actually sold the car in 2 months but left it up on purpose. They are complete liars and give you some BS about having left it up for beyond the 12 weeks like it was a special favour. Stay away from them.

I understand your pain! Classified Vehicle Solutions is the biggest ripoff! They promised to sell my car in 90 days, said they already had buyers lined up and approved. Once I paid the fees, they took my money and screwed me! I have left several messages over the past 3 months, but for some stupid reason, these numbnuts can't seem to pull their heads out of their a&* to call me back! I've had it and now they will pay the price! I have filed a class action lawsuit because it sounds like they screwed alot of people over including me. If anyone is interested in getting in on the action, contact a local attorney and let's get the ball rolling, get our money back and make Classified pay for all the f#@% ups!!

I fell for the Classified Vehicle Solutions scam. I had my car listed on kijiji and many similar services called and I passed on them but CVS sounded pretty legit. The thing that got me was the guy said he was originally from my area. He even rattled off some small towns nearby, in hindsight he was obviously just looking at google as part of the 'act'. He said they had 2 buyers nearby that are pre-approved and have indicated they are looking for a car like mine. He said most cars sell within a week and that my car was  their biggest seller so it would be gone in days! Well that was far from the truth, I never heard from them again. A few times I called and emailed to see why nothing was happening  and they would eventually call back after a few threats and say " oh their is a sale pending on your car, in a few days the paper work should be ready and you'll get a call" Nothing!

After the 90 days and doing everything they asked including paying a lawyer to notarize the refund form and $30 to send it registered airmail to them it came back and said they had moved! I called CVS and after about a week they called back and said "it must have been a mix up at the post office just send it again" I did, another $30 to send it and nothing since, no response to phone messages, dozens of emails, NOTHING!

I don't know who I am more angry at, these DISHONEST SCAMMERS or myself for falling for it.
anyway do not use Classified Vehicle Solutions they are a scam, dishonest, will steal your money and will NOT sell your car!

This Company is a fraud, under no circumstances list you vehicle with them. They called me every day for a week to get me to list my car with them. They claimed to have multiple buyers lined up looking for my specific car and the car should be sold in a few weeks. Since listing with them I have had NO inquires about the car and have tried to reach them via multiple phone messages and a dozen email requests. When I enquired as to where they had my car advertised they sent me two websites where the advertising was free, what was I paying for? Again do not sign up with this company, they will take your money and you will never hear from them again.

Correction - the Customer Service Manager's name is not Tom Roberts.  It should read "John Roberts"

Footnote - I received a phone conversation from John Roberts on or about 1-12-2012 regarding this post and the money due CVS.   He agreed to a back charge of $100 and also agreed that nobody should have to put up with such s****y service.   Unlike CVS, I mailed the check out promptly!!

Dear Mr. Knowles and All Concerned Consumers,

The purpose of this reply is to:  (i.) address Mr. Knowles post; (ii.) update my prior post stated herein; and (ii.) comply with a request from CVS Customer Service Manager, Tom Roberts, as it relates to my overall experience wtih Classified Vehicle Solutions.

Regarding Mr. Knowles post & comments- based on first hand knowledge his opennig statement is not accurate.  In fact, based on my experience with Classified Vehicles Solutions I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.   Your customer service is poor at best; rarely does anyone answer the phone and getting back to customers takes days and weeks.  Worst of all, are the boiler plate Terms & Conditions that you place on your customers regarding your Refund Policy, which is not user frieindly and in my humble opinion amounts to legal theft.

Respectfully Submitted,

Ron Swanson

Email:  rswanson14424@gmail.com

Regarding my first post, I only want to add that after numerous calls, emails, ffiling my 1st post, and lastly filing a formal dispute letter with Master Card they finally responded.   Unfortunately, by then it was to late, the credit card company reversed the charges.   For whatever reasons they insisted on sending me a refund check even though the bank corrected the problem.   The check finally arrived and it was deposited as requested - it actually cleared.  Now I'm faced with a new problem:  I actually owe them.  I haven't heard back from the bank yet on how to handle that one; however, I can assure all for all the time, paper and postage that's been wasted a handling (back) charge will be assessed.

Conclusion:  One shouldn't have to go through so much s*** to get a legitmate refund on services not rendered (emphasis added).

Hey Susana,

Having engaged their services I'm very familiar with CVS and I can assure all DO NOT do business with these guys.   They are great at marketing, including persoanl phone calls regarding pre-approved buyers (as you've already experienced).  Those are just sales techniques to bait, lure and hook  you into an Agreement that contains some major hurdles to obtain the 90-Day Money Back Guarantee of $400, IF the vehicle doesn't sell  for "just trying our services"

They're very smart at what they do.  Most recenly they changed their marketing strategies to:  Bronze; Silver and Gold Packages, which greatly benefits their marketing mix.  Once they have your money you'll be long forgotten.  IF your car doesn't sell and you comply with all of ther Terms and Conditions you'll be ignored and most likely you'll have to dispute the charges or go to Small Claims.

I got the same call today from California from CVS also providing me the same information. They would offer me $1700 more than my offering price, saying they go by the blue book value and that they ask that value from their customers and that there was a particular customer near my area interested in my type of car.
They asked me to pay with credit card a $500 refundable fee for registration, advertisement costs, etc.
They seemed a bit pushy. I told them I was not comfortable and that I would have to call them back.
He continued to say if couldn't I decide tonight. He finally said he would call me back again tomorrow.
I still don't feel comfortable. Did you say you know people who got scammed by this CVS?
Let me know, thanks,

Got a call from a girl named "Britney" working for Empire Vehicle Solutions, stated they'll sell my car in 2 weeks with 100% price which I have proposed, with $41 per week charge and requested my credit card.  Yeah right, like I have the word "sucker" written on my forehead...

Folks, if it sounds too good to be true, it must be too good to be true.  Just confirmed my intuition was correct by stumbling upon these posts.  Thanks guys for warning others of such scams like EMPIRE VEHICLE SOLUTIONS.

Got call from California from CVS Classified Vehicle Solutions yesterday and the lady sounded like she was reading a script.  She said she has buyer approved for $15k, $1k more than my asking price on Kijiji and want me to pay $500 refundable fee.  They had a convincing web site and the fine print for a refund looks like I have maybe 1% chance of getting any money back.  Same scam as the one from Burnaby BC, just waiting for them to call and see if I can get some number so I can play around with them.  I know a few people who got burned by them.

I got a call from this "comoany" yesterday. the girl on the phone was trying hard to make it sound so great deal and that it on;y costs me 40 dollars or so per week to sell my car. Thy charge for 12 weeks in advance and they promis eto sell your car at youar asking price+advertising fee, so at the end it will cost nothing to me.
I told the girl I need to think about t. She is supposed to call me again next week. After her call I just thought like: Ok, they are going offer financing and sell my car and then issue a cheque to me. Sounds good? Ok, then why should I pay upfront??!!  Can't they sign me up for Free, find the buyer and then deduct their 400-500 dollars fee before making a cheque for me?
Buttom line, it sound BS and doesn't make any sense to me. If she calls me next week I know how to answer them.

"Dawn" called me from this number: 604-583-3756. As I talked to her I looked up Empire Vehicle Solutions and found this thread. I asked her about the scam warnings on the internet and she says its mostly just the competition bad mouthing them. I don't know who to trust! Lol
Here's what Better Business Bureau thinks of them:
http://www.bbb.org/mbc/business-reviews/autom ... rrey-bc-1242192
I asked about their F rating (the worst) and she says its because their boss had an argument with the BBB and stopped making his payments for BBB accreditation.  She made it sound like the BBB is just small time goat n pony show. Who listens to them anyway.

Here in Toronto, I just got a call from EVM yesterday and although a nice girl diligently explained the whole process to me, it didn't make much sense.  She wanted me to pay them $41 per week for 12 weeks.  They guaranteed a sale within 2 weeks and they didn't want a commission other than the $41 weekly.  Hmmmmm.....let's think about this for a second.  Why would they only want to make $82 (since they guarantee a sale within 2 weeks), when they could rip me off for a few hundred in 12 weeks?  That's where they lost me.

I even offered to let them sell my car, then take $500 off the top when my car is sold.  The girl (Hiedi) told me that this is not how they work.  She wanted my credit card information.  I've never heard of anyone turning down a commission on a sale, especially if selling cars is what they do daily.  Looked to me like they were going to use my credit card info to embezzle a few hundred and then leave me hanging.

I'm glad I came across this blog.  It's people like you that save "innocent" people like me from being ripped off.  Please keep up the good work.

This is actually pretty well established as a scam. Basically anyone who harvests numbers from places where people sell cars and tries to trick them into this is a scam, especially when the sellers clearly state they do not want to be contacted by 3rd parties.  Perhaps you depend on it for a living?

Would you tell someone not to eat cyanide, even if you've never eaten it yourself? You don't have to have your money stolen to figure out what is a SCAM either.

Get educated, get yourself a "lick of sense" before you come one here and lecture others.

seriously want to know if the creator of this web page does any research to help the people actually find useful information. best i can tell a vast majority of the people commenting on this company, has got this far jumped on the band wagon and shot the cowboy. I am left to wonder if the people who have a lick of sense, have carried on with their research of this company and made some actual educated decisions based on their findings. I don't know whether these guys are legit, but I sure can tell that some of the posters here need to get a brain and a life. And for you guys who do find out for sure whether this is good or bad, please do a follow up. At least then anyone who googles can start with some actual information.

I understand that many of you believe we are a scam however, we do provide proof to ALL of our clients upon request and can show that the work has been done. Alot of people get upset because they cannot sell their vehicle, and there are many reasons for this. The main one being that MANY MANY people are expecting to get anywhere between 5000-10000 dollars more than what their vehicle is worth. If you are not negotiable and are asking a price that is not reasonable at all, then dont expect to have any inerested buyers. We always advertise until the vehicle is sold so in that sense we can garuntee the sale. we have many people sending emails each day letting us know their vehicle has been sold! However some vehicles may not sell as quickly as we wish they wood, the work is done, we offer the financing, and we repost or refresh everyones ad. As  a challange to all of you who are slandering our company, why not call us and let us know you are unhappy and we WILL work something out for you , More then oftenly we can do something for you .So before you get all mad that your vehicle hasnt sold, look at WHY!
