I received a phone call from a man saying he was from a company called Canada Auto Index.  he said his name is Frank Stone.  And he wanted me to pay him for a possiable sale of my vehicle that I had advertised in the Autotrader.

Got the same call.  He wanted all the information on it....when I asked him if HE was the buyer or if he worked for a financing company that would give me a "guranteed" sale, he ignored my question repeatedly....then hung up on me.

Ya I just got the same call;  I thought it was legit buyer until I started to hear background noise like a call center.  He was asking me about the type of oil I ran; at this point I could hear it was totally a call center so I rambled on about oil etc lol.  Then he just said thanks and hung up.

Yeah I wouldn;t pay someone 400$ to sell my truck...Thats why I put ads up.

604-628-1845 phoned me tonight about my truck,i told him it was sold and he then offered me more then i was asking??wtf? i think he was drunk.very weird.

They are getting even more complex.  They have anouther guy call locall, 403-770-9667 who claims to be they buyer!

Got a call from them -- and another from GlobalAutoRegistry with much the same deal.

autoindex called me too, and I got a called from sell it now motors, they have the same sales pitch as auto index, dont sign up with sell it now motors unless you want to lose money faster then a slot machine

wanting 400$ to start paper work process and lien check. Hmmm.. then confronted him and he tried to tell me I was crazy for passing up a deal like this and hung up!

Got a call from 403-770-9667 informing me of autocredit.ca... i was selling a car and told me how autocredit worked... i fell for it and followed his directions to place an EMT into the bank - assured it could not be touched until sale was final.  Little did I know it was gone before I knew it.  Told me payments go to caipayments@gmail.com cai stood for canadian auto index.  Set me up with a potential buyer who turned out to be nobody... number was 780-669-1496.  Dont fall for what i did!  400 dollers later...

I just got the same call from 403-770-9667 with the same crap story, then I got a call from Doug the potential buyer from 780-669-1496.  What a load of crap!  I am reporting these guys to the cops.

See if you can rope these guys in to acquire some evidence so they can be prosecuted.

I received a call from Jason related to a vehicle I posted for sale on www.buysell.com. Jason claimed that he represents a financial auto group and he has a buyer for the vehicle posted on the net. He asked me the VIN for the vehicle and when would be a good time for his buyer to see the vehicle.
