Someone called from this same number and no message was left. When I called back I was getting a dial tone.....WEIRD

Got a call twice tonight while at work.

They freaking called my cell phone and my parents.
Any answer to who they are??

How did they get your number?  Well the government started the do not call list but then after the laws were removed to stop phone scamming on cell phones the DNC list was removed and the list was sold to companies, these companies use your number for marketing and then sell your number off to another to regain their money.  Best course of action if you can get someone is ask who they are as a company and if you can get their name, then ask them the date and time, the fact that they say it in their own words means you have legal right to sue for harassment if they continue to call, you will instantly be removed from their list is you ask this and because most companies say they cant hang up on you period you can abuse them all you want.

I am getting so sick of calls from 604-629-2009! After reading all the comments here, it is puzzling who is behind this!!! I am so tired of seeing this number show up on my call display as a missed call. Is there a reason why they can't leave a message? I never have my phone near me when they call but even if I did, I would NOT answer it nor would I ever, ever, ever purchase anything they were trying to sell me - on the simple principle that they have annoyed me so much. HOW do they even get our numbers? I have not given my number out to anyone!

Just got a call fm this number--computerized female voice saying something about a stupid survey and saying that airtime would be reimbursed.  It was obviously an voice over IP as the message became extremely garbled.  I hung up... wish these people would get a life.

This 604 629-2009 is anyone calling your phone using SKYPE! It could be a friend, family member, company - ANYONE because it's the same number for everyone using the skype service.

The call can be coming from a line that is internet based and thus coming from an IP address.  I get a few of these calls from clients to my office and the 604 629 2009 number shows up because they are using an IP to make the call.

could be anyone as it is a mask number from primus...

haha i got this call, missed it on my cell, called back on my land line.
i dial, but it doesnt ring. instead there's a steady dial tone...

604 is vancouvers area code, do you guys live in vancouver? i do so i thought it was a friend....

I listened to the message, they wanted me to reinburse my air time by pressing 3...its a cell phone scam...just hang up , they say there out of Gatineau Quebec

My unlisted number from Primus VOIP shows up as this number on other peoples caller id.

Well it could've been a calling card.
My friend called me from out of town and I didn't answer at first.  They then tried again and I finally picked up--turned out it wasn't a telemarketer. Surprise.

Again with a middle of the night call. 5:30am this time.
All it ever does is beeps. Not the fax beep/static type sound, but beeeep.. pause... beeeeepp.. About 4 or 5 times.
If it's a calling card number or something, what's up with the long beeps?
Called the operator "0" and explained it all. All he said was that it was a fax and that they can try contacting whoever has that number and ask them to not call me. Thanks Telus, that's a real help!

we received 2 telus (vancouver) phone numbers two months ago, and we have had been receiving about 15 nuisance calls both  day & night, with the persistant long beeps as mentioned above, and the calls are almost always labeled "unavailable name & number" on our call display. After numerous calls to Telus, we have been instructed to pay for call screen *60, activate anonymous call block *77, and that we add our number's to the national "Do not call list". This number 604 629 2009 is the first identifiable number we've seen so far. We have had to turn our ringers off on the phones before we go to bed at night so we're not woken up anymore by these ridiculous & annoying nuisance calls. It's very frustrating but hopefully with all the telephone add-ons it will slowly come to a stop. I think Telus should be held responsible somehow for supplying numbers that may have been problem lines or I dont'really know, its just not acceptable.

I'm tired of these guys too. Now I do not answer if I don't recognize the number.

an automated voice was speaking, claiming to be an independent research group, assuring me that they were not selling anything and that they are aware they may have reached my cellphone and that it could cost me money. it asked me to press 1 if the primary phone in my household is a landline, press 2 if the primary phone in my household is a cellphone and press 3 if i want to be reimbursed for my minutes. i pressed 3 and heard a brief/cutoff goodbye. next time, i will hang up immediately...

Received a call @ 11:30 am.  Women's recorded voice - "blah blah - from Gatineau, Quebec."

I then hung up.

missed this call when i was on my cell talking to someone...was about to call this # back, but then googled it & found this....glad i didn't try calling the #. will know next time.
