got a call just now...3:30PM, nobody said anything, just hang up. then I hang up

I got this call at 11:20 and hung up on me when I picked up the phone.

Nothing when I picked up the phone.

This number just called me. When I picked up I heard a man say "...don't get scared now" (as if he was talking to someone else, not me), and then he hung up.

I have received calls from this number three or four times.

Received several phone calls from 604-637-6343 - as soon as you say hello they hang up - very frustrated and annoyed.  Any suggestions???

Answering machine picked up right away, no one at the other end

When I call this number back, I hear touch tones. No idea who is calling. Perhaps verifying that there is a live person at my number?

just received a call on the land line from this number.  didn't pick up.

Daughter answered no response, could poss be either collection agency dialer or phone company surveying

Received a call from this number several times.  As soon as you say hello, they hang up.  Likely some automated phone-number-harvesting scam.
