8:37 PM these people phone.  Initially it started when some very cute african girl showed up at my house with no company paperwork, brochures or pamphlets saying she was trying to raise funds for kids in the Horn of Africa and Pakistan.  I get it, kids are starving everywhere and I hate to sound apathetic but I'm raising two kids a wife on one income.  She was very sweet and nearly had me giving them $20 per month on either pre authorized debit or credit card.  When I told her that I wasn't comfortable with those methods she flicked her eyes and actually scoffed almost imperceptibly like it had been a waste of her time.  That's when I knew it wasn't charity and the whole 'cute girl' image instantly transformed into a greedy lizard person trying to steal my money and my favorite tin hat.  I gave her the brush off but unfortunately somehow they got my phone # out of the deal and a young lady called a few times and tried the same hustle on me except I could hear that she was alone inside somewhere, not at a call center or some kind of bigger operation.  These people are shady, and giving them anything more than simple courtesy is a big mistake.

These guys called me last night at 11:27 PM!!! PM!!!!!!!! I know you're in BC and fundraising, but do you really think that waking people up and p*ssing them off is going to get you money? Yes, I gave my number to one of your representatives, and was interesting in helping, until this. And it's not up to people at home to answer to tell you we're not interested, we shouldn't have to do that. No one should have to receive unsolicited calls at their private home from anyone! (Yes, I know this doesn't apply to me as I gave them my number). Just plain rude! If you can't keep track of who you're calling and the time zones they are in how can we be sure you're properly keeping track of donations??? Sorry you missed out on my $100, maybe the next person you wake up at night will be more forgiving.

It's a fundraising organization; they call for people who spoke with charity canvassers (from non-profits like Unicef, etc.) and left their number.

Or just pick up the phone and say you are not interested.

If you called 3 times, and no one answers, then that's a good indication that the party isn't interested in talking to you. So remove the phone number from your automated dialing list.

Yeah I'm one of the people calling you from this number. We only call you if you've left your number after speaking with one of our canvassers on the street. Trust me when I say we don't want to be calling you if you're not interested.

Easiest way to get us to stop calling, just pick up the phone and let us know.
