Strategic marketing non profit my _ss called I answered they hangup!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number keeps calling and hangs up. They're calling 4 times a day. Never leaves messages. If I pick up, I either hear nothing or a woman speaking veeeery slowly and asking for someone who does'nt live here.

Calls every other day or so. Any time I've picked up the call, I get an open line that eventually hangs up.

As has been reported above, this number belongs to a company called "Strategic Communications".  They are a company that does fundraising and market surveys for non-profit charities and other assorted companies, which is why they can get through even if you are registered on the Canadian "No Call" list.

If you call the number, there is a short description of who they are and what they do... then you are given the option of being taken off their list.  So you have to listen to their description of what they do, then follow the instructions for being taken off their calling list.  It should take no longer than two business days for the calls to stop.   They've been calling me about 4 times/day... I don't bother picking up the phone when I see them on the Call Display.  I only just now called the number and have done the instructions for being taken off their calling list.  We shall see if by next week I no longer get any more calls from them.

Calls from this number 604-805-9297 ring continuously until picked up, and I don't mean ring, ring, ring, but once steady annoying R-R-R-R-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-N-N-N-N-G-G-G-G-G-G ... no one there when it's picked up.

This person continuously calls and asks for my father. If we say he's home, they hang up. But mostly they hang up right away after we answer. It's very annoying and they've been calling for 3 weeks now, almost every day

We've been receiving calls from this number incessantly for the past few weeks.  Terribly annoying, since there's never anyone at the other end when we answer.

How do we stop this abuse?  They may be Friends of CBC, but they're no longer friends of ours!!!  Please make them stop!

This number has called several times. When I answer there is no response, then after a few seconds a busy signal comes on.

 This number calls every other day. the person already called 3 times.
 Don't know anyone in British Columbia.

Keeps calling & calling & calling

I received a call from this number as part of a fund-raising campaign for "The Friends of Canadian Broadcasting" who are trying to raise funds to counter the Federal government's "disproportionate" cuts to the CBC. It makes one wonder whether these disproportional cuts are a payback for the CBC shining the light of empirical evidence onto the Conservative Party's political dogmas.

Just received a call from a man at that number a few minutes ago asking to speak with my partner, who wasn't in. The man said he was calling to thank my partner for his support to "Friends of Broadcasting". Called my partner who said he supported them by "liking" them on facebook, and he received their newsletter by eMail. Hmmm.
