Had the same call. I called the customer service # on the back of my credit card instead to check that nothing was being compromised with my account. If it is an internal # for Vancity or another credit union, then it is really poor practice, and I would not respond. My advice is to call the customer service # and check the number to see if it valid and have them check that you account is fine. I would still not call the other number back - even if it is a valid internal number. Really bad practice.
