Before you use a libelous word like "scamming" about me you had better be sure of your facts.

The "scam" Nick Tarpon is referring to is a webpage I posted online critizing the treatment I received from A. Lam Sails (a.k.a. Far East Sails) located in Hong Kong. Several years ago Lam Sails shipped me a sail from Hong Kong but they made it the wrong size. I still have the original emails that show the measurements I provided and the size of the finished sail. The difference is considerable. It wouldn't fit on my boat and Lam Sails put the burden of fixing their error completely on my shoulders. I told them I wanted either a new sail or a refund. All they would do was pay me $150 to pay for an alteration that cost me $280. The alteration was done by an inexperienced sailmaker who did a bad job and the sail was never usable.  The bottom line is that the alteration should never have had to be done if Lam Sails had used the measurements I provided. Lam Sails still refused to do anything to correct a problem that was created in their factory. Unfortunately your options are limited when you are dealing with a company on the other side of the world who refuses to correct their mistakes. That is why I created a webpage describing the problem I had with Lam Sails and that is what Mr Tarpon calls "scamming".

It appears to me that this blog (and this is not the only blog where he has written the same thing) is a blatant attempt to link my name to the word "scamming" in a Google search. It makes me wonder if Mr Tarpon doesn't have some ties to Lam Sails that he doesn't want to admit to.

Hey there, my BAD LUCK, just googled this email address and sure enough these people are scammers - how dare they use GOD's name in vain to get money off innocent people like ME.  I sent $1300.00 for bond - STUPID aye?, being waiting for the keys and documents for last 5 weeks.  Gave notice and now have been left homeless, but likely found an Apartment just last week.

The email they sent you was the same I got.  Have tried calling the so called wife KEISHA but just stands there and listens to what I'm saying to her.  Rung the so called Rev Johnson and he says to contact his wife via email, man I wish that dxxxk was in front of me, I would've stuck something down his throate.

To all the innocent people that have been scammed by these disgusting animals, don't worry, THERE KARMA IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER and trust me that God is on our side and because they have used God's name to get money off people they will burn in HELL.

Tinkabell that sucks!!! I got the same email when enquiring about a place they had advertising on gumtree.co.nz; It was a nice flat in Auckland. Luckily after some emails between the two of us we became suspicious and found this site, thank you. Helped save two of us $600 each.

She said she was in London with the keys while her husband was in west Africa on a religous mission and would send the keys after we deposit the money.

Three of our enquiries have brought back similar responses to ones already posted.  It seems that if it's too good to be true it actually is in this case.  All three have said they are in Africa on adventure or mission work. Another google hit was for the sale of the unit.  I hope the new owners don't ever want to rent it!

I used to reside in the apartment with my wife, Carol Crawford, but due to the fact that I was transferred to West Africa and my wife to USA, on a missionary transfer, and now reside here for the time being, We have decided to put our apartment for rent to someone neat, honest and trustworthy.




I will be here in West Africa for a while and very busy with missions and crusades. So I will like you to get in touch with my wife in USA via email for more details and pictures as she is with the keys and the necessary documents of the apartment.




Upon confirmation of your interest, You will be given a rent application form by my wife, after you have filled the rent application form and made payment for a month's rent deposit and damage fees, the keys and documents will be sent to you through DHL. The application form is subject to approval.




I want you to note that I am a kind and honest man and also I spent a lot on my property so if eventually we give you our apartment, I will solicit for your absolute maintenance of this apartment and want you to treat it as your own.I want to know if I can trust you to handle my property with care.




Please note that we don't have anyone over there to show you the apartment, So we will have to send you the keys & Documents via h DHL Courier Service on a next day delivery after you have made payment for the first month's payment and security deposit so you can move in asap. I can't believe I found this site I'm so happy.
I actually believed the email and just thought they had bad english.
Although I must say I was a little weary when no name was signed at the bottom and then I went to find the listing on Gumtree and it was gone! Below is what I recieved. It's complete b***s*** it's hard enough to be looking for a place to start with now we got to pick the scams as well.
