Hi this is Ally calling...for months now I've received this computerized call, not only on my cell phone, but also my work phone.  It was to the point that I knew when they were calling by the number, but now it has changed.  I just received a call from 304 710 3576 (West Virginia) with the same exact message.  Can the government seriously not shut these yay-hoo's down?  This is ridiculous.

Prank Call
They refuse to tell me what they are calling for.  They threaten they are sending out agents to find me and that I have now been informed that I will be found by these agents.  When I ask what for, they say they can not tell me what it's about. They say they are coming out to my home and my work and will require me to show my ID to the agents. They call from 7 different numbers and leave threatening messages if I don't answer and a blocked number too. They are calling my relatives but won't tell them any info and when I called back on the number provided they answer it only as "Corporate Office, im transfering you now" then another person comes on and says we didnt call you, we can't make calls from this office!  What the heck! Here are the other numbers they use.  BEWARE it's a scam!

AHHH! You're right. They must have a program that gathers a bunch of business owner's business info that we've listed on google maps so people can find us.

IF YOU HAVE AN iPHONE WITH THE iOS SOFTWARE UPDATED LIKE ME, YOU CAN BLOCK THEIR NUMBER BABY!!!!!! ;)

HERE THE DIRECTIONS:
(1st, Press the Green "Phone Icon" wherever you've placed that "app square")
Next Find the call (if it's a missed call, it'll be in RED) and press the "i" with a circle around it.
It will take you to a menu, swipe upwards on this menu - it'll go down to the bottom of the menu.
CLICK, "BLOCK THIS CALLER".
Finally, a little prompt the size of a third of your total pone screen size will pop up,
CLICK "Block Contact".

You are SO welcome. ;)

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That was a good one. Oh wait, you were being serious? Nice try, scammer! Most of the replies have addressed the obvious lies in your post, but your big whopper at the end there...? The Do Not Call List applies to any numbers on that list, whether they are business or residential. Calling a number on that list is like trying to sell door-to-door where there is a "no soliciting" sign. I know someone who kept a large empty shotgun behind their counter for just such an occassion. They would use it to point to the sign and ask the person if they were visually impaired or just illiterate. They sometimes got free stuff if the person dropped everything and ran. Please, please call my number with a real person and not a recording. I have a sports air horn with your name on it, "GUY".

Prank Call
I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

This call hung up like most of them. Funny, I thought Aberdeen was in Scotland, not South Dakota! I listed this as a prank call because "scam call" or "telescammer" was not on the list.

Unfortunately these criminals would do better working someplace where they do hire felons, surely even minimum wage has to be better than placing thousands of calls for little to no revenue.

Called me earlier, I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number and it said "Aberdeen, SD," where I know absolutely NO ONE. I called back 45 min later just in case it was a potential guitar student newly moved in from out of town, and the call wouldn't even go through, and I tried twice.

No question about it.  This call,  from South Dakota is certainly not local for me  ( I am near the east coast, US).   I never let the caller leave a message unless they are in my "accepted caller"  notebook and I see their name.  I would advise others to also follow this simple rule:  no caller ID?  Then ignore the call.  If it was from your job,  they should have your eMail anyway. My phone lines run through my G5 MAC which has been upgraded to accept phone land-lines.  The software by Parliant will either play one of several replies recorded with professional  announcers . These all are for different types of rejected callers ranging from polite to tierce (but always professional).  Accepted callers have not greeting --which is my own choice.  If you can not use such a product you can locate several new phones which now have "Call Block" features on them.

They just keep calling without leaving any messages!!!! I do not answer the TEL NUMBERS 'S I do not recognize. OUR COUNTRY USED TO HAVE LAWS, REGULATIONS!!!!!!! :(  PEOPLE ARE GETTING PAID BILLIONS TO DO THEIR JOBS TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS, AND PROTECT US. BUT NO ONE CARES, THEY POCKET THE MONEY AND DON'T DO ANYTHING. NOTHING WORKS ANYMORE. THE MORE SOPHISTICATED AND TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCE WE GET, THE LESS PROTECTED WE BECOME FROM THIEVES AND CONNIVING CORPORATIONS!!!!!! INSTEAD WE HAVE TO RESORT TO JUST HELP EACH OTHER BY POSTING HERE. BUT THESE POSTS DO NOT PROTECT US LEGALLY OH AND BY THE WAY THE THIEVES AND SCAMMERS ARE ALSO READING ALL OUR POSTS AND SINCE THAT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THEM TO HARASS US AT WORK, HOME, OUR CELLS THEY HARASS US HERE AS WELL. BASED ON WHAT THEY READ HERE THEY CHANGE THEIR TACTICS AS WELL.
