This number I believe is from Hauge Associates. They are trying to get me to pay a medical bill. I have dealt with this a**es in the past when my ex owed money and I refuse to deal with them again. My payments will go to the hospital directly! They once in awhile leave me a message stating to call 605-274-2840 but never state WHY to call. They can contact me by certified mail.

These people keep calling and are extremely rude and do not leave a message. I am sick of them calling all hours of the day and night.

TO GET THEM TO STOP CALLING--
Answer the phone, they will ask if you are 'first name_last name' say yes. Then they'll tell you they are calling about whatever overdue account... Immediately tell them this "My employer does not allow me to take personal calls at work." US Federal law states that they must immediately terminate the call and not call that number back. If they ask ANY other questions, simply keep saying "My employer does not allow me to take personal calls at work. It is a violation of federal law to continue asking questions or call this number again." This gets them to stop calling even if it is your cell phone, home phone, whatever,...
There is also an .gov internet site where you can file a complaint against companies that don't follow the fair debt collection laws. You can google for it, or if people post here and say that these guys continue to call after being told the above, i'll find and post the url.
