Got call, did not pick up. 800notes.com has many complaints logged re this number.

This is just a marketing scam to get you to sign up for SEO placement.  They say they can get you a higher listing, but they can't.  Save your money and hang up

I too, have requested that they stop calling.  Got tired of it and file a complaint w/ do not call site.  I doubt it will do any good, as they rarely seem to do anything about ANYTHING.  Perhaps if we all filed complaints, it would be looked into.  Who knows?

I let Google know about this.

Called our home number about 4:15 on Thursday. We did not answer and they did not leave a message. We are on state and federal do not call lists.

I work at a government entity and they keep calling, I've "removed" myself from their list about 3 times and they keep calling!

This number 605-301-7240 calls me 3 to 4 times a day. I press 9 to be put on the do not call list and I still get calls from them. I tries to call the number above and it will not ring. I work at a hearing aid company and I'm forced to pick up the call even though i know it's them because if i don't, the phone will just ring and ring and disrupt my clients. Very annoying. These people need to be put on their place and fined.

This is the second call I've gotten from this number. It's a recorded voice with an "urgent message for the business owner to claim their Google+ website. There is an option to press "9" if you are not the business owner, to not receive calls in the future. I tried that last time. This time I followed the prompts to speak to a live person. When he came on the line I said that I'd like to be removed from the call list--- and he hung up on me. Obviously not a legit business, and I'm annoyed to get this call on my cell.

When I asked the name of his company and indicated they had stated they were "Google Specialists" he hung up on me.  To represent yourself as being from a company you are not affiliated with is a CRIME. They know that they dont want to give up their business name for fear of being reported.  My advice, get to an actual person, convince them to give you their ACTUAL company name, then tell them if they dont take you off of their 'call list' you will be reporting their company for harassment. I tried calling him back and the number is a dead end that rings busy. SCAMMMERS.

Persistent...rec'd email from YouMail.com that this call was blocked.  SPAM database logged another call.

What a bunch of shady scam artists.  Claiming that they're from Google.  As soon as I asked where they were from?  They hung up.  When I called back their number it goes to a busy signal.  I HATE THESE PEOPLE.  You are not affiliated with Google, criminals.

Have received calls from this number a few times. They left a message once and, yes, pressing "9" to be removed from the list does not work.
I am going to try if I can use the call block option on my phone system to see if it makes a difference.

Per Google Customer Service THIS IS A SCAM!! Our business has been receiving calls from this number for months. I have spoke to many representatives from the people representing "Google". I have also called and spoke to Google customer service. They told me this is a scam and that Google would not be authorizing any outbound calls to businesses. The reps at this "outsourced" company are very rude and will hang up on you. I just spoke to a "supervisor" and even after telling him that I spoke to Google he still tried to insist it was legit. Hopefully they will take us off for good, but somehow I doubt it. The numbers are different everytime they call. Google has a "report a scam" service they provide,  http://support.google.com/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2952493  you can go to this address to report each number. I am reporting all of them in the hopes to shut down whatever company this is that is bothering us.

They called me and I didn't answer......said "Local List" on the caller ID. Now, I will return to my game of Solitaire, and try to break my personal best record! Long live Doug Flutie!!!!!!

Got a call this morning from this number.  Didn't answer it because i figured they were either "Googleing" me or wanted to "lower my credit card interest" by emptying out my credit and bank accounts.  They hammered me good for 30 minutes calling evrey couple minutes from a different phone number.  Lucky for me, I have most of the numbers blocked or do not ring when they call.

They are using random caller ID numbers to get around my PBX blacklist.  This is the 3rd one so far.

It's a scam. Called ID comes back as Local List. I have pushed the button to be removed from their list many times; no luck. And they're lying, because I have been verified on Google Plus and my business is found on the first page of local searches. So obviously they're just saying that. When I decided to just go through the motions to be connected to someone like I was interested, as soon as I said that I'd requested to be removed from the list several times...the jerk hung up on me! You'd think they wouldn't want to waste their time with taking calls from people who are not interested. Oh, and when I called the number back that was on the called ID--605-301-7240--an elderly gentleman answered the phone and had no idea what I was talking about. (Was real nice, though.) Unless he was faking it...how did Local List get a number to show up on caller ID that's not theirs? Think I'll start doing what "Ima Morlarkey"suggested!!

Google Plus Specialist name of company in introduction

Another Google SPAM company, and another spoofed number.  Already in SPAM database and blocked at the carrier.

Robo message saying Hi this is Jennifer with "google plus"  it is urgent that I speak to the business owner I have tried to reach you several times blah blah blah....scam call for a fake listing.  Hung up on call.

Caller ID reads: LOCAL LIST. Not Even Close to Area Code.

Calls come in daily and no one is ever there and the call just disconnects every time.

Local List calls here almost twice a day. This is a Doctors office and I don't need to answer these calls if no one is there and the line is just going to cut out every time.

The last time I got a call from them, I decided to call Google directly and ask if they called me. I told them the caller said i had to act now or someone else would claim my acount. They also said something about being listed in all the major search engines.

Google's reply:
We don't make those type of calls. And we don't solicit business for Bing which is one of our competitors.
