Whenever i get a call from one of these people, i simply turn my tv on, put it on Andy Griffith , set the phone down besides the tv and let them listen to the futher adventures of Barney Fife, after a while they stop calling, probably get tired of tying their 800 number phone line up on Barny and paying their employee to sit there on the phone with his or her thumb up their butts.

Whether you are called a debtor or some collector thinks you can flush one out, you have rights and options. Many are simple to exercise if you only learn how. You are entitled to proof of claim and fair treatment. If one or the other is not provided, the collection agency should *not* win your assets. You are granted control of how you are contacted, the right to dispute debt claims, and the means to sue violators at low cost. The FTC and the CFPB can start you on your homework. See also if your state laws grant additional or stronger rights.

You must have adopted the number of an alleged debtor, which is a common problem. As one might tell from this thread, the calls will not stop until you enforce your rights, preferably on paper and by USPS Certified.

Let's not continue the bad example set by Harriet Carter two months prior. This company may be full of lawbreakers, but they are not clairvoyant.
Resident47 2014-06-08 05:22:17 Unknown
Your callers do not maintain this site or this web page. Your callers cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. You cannot expect compliance with your orders until you deliver them *directly* to your caller.

Are these wishes known to the debt collector or are you just uselessly blasting steam here?

Yes I have a lawyer and it only costs me $25 a month. I am and have been a member of Legal Shield since 1992. If anyone wants more information and in Texas they can send me email...cwdrake@hotmail.com

I own a business and have a lawyer on retainer and he says to never give your SS# out to you clowns...there are only a handful of legit collection agencies and I am guessing Don't Juan doesn't work for one!!
AFergie1202 2014-05-19 20:01:01 Unknown
And I take it you either work for the company and/or are an attorney yourself... You posted "NOTHING", about your experience with this company.. Obviously you have other Remote reasons to be smack in the middle of this entire conversation.. :(

It costs $35.00 to file a case yourself. Obvious violations of the FDCPA are easy to prove. You as a collector should know that. I have made a living on profits from suits to collection agencies. It's really not that hard.

Not likely Pal! Consumer attorneys are available nationwide that will take solid cases on a contingency basis. No money up front. If an intended victim of a fraudulent and/or bogus collector is savvy, logs & records all calls (complying with their state laws regarding the recording of calls) & does their homework, that intended target will have consumer attorneys lining up to take the case. It may not be a big money making endeavor, but it can be satisfying as Hell!
It's a new world out there for debt collection outfits that blatantly violate the FDCPA & the state regulations regarding the legal collection of debt. If a fraud shop is domestic, and can be found, they can find themselves the prey instead of the hunter. Which is why they use spoofed numbers & addresses that come back to mail drops in strip malls.
The public is becoming more aware every day. Sites like this one are helping to make it so. Much to the chagrin of the bottom feeding JDB & bogus collectors.
Skeff Ett Liv!

With the amount your lawyer would cost, you might as well just pay the debt.

I received a few calls from this company myself. I sent an e-mail to them via their website http://www.rushmoreservicecenter.com/services/. I requested that they not call me any more and as I left my mailing address they would have on file and the cell number the keep calling they should be able to look me up. Guess what, they are still calling. I am going to send a certified letter requiring them to send a paper bill to my address on file and only contact me by US mail. If this is a valid company they have to comply or I have grounds to sue them.

I had to get a new phone because I lost my other phone. I had pre-pay and was looking to switch to a different provider. Have Verizon now and love it. However, I had my phone in service for literally 2 days and this number started calling me. Now they call two to three times a day. They never leave a message and I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know. It is starting to get ridiculous. This has been going on for a month now.
kim 2014-04-09 13:50:00 Unknown
Unless you are going to leave a message and expalin why you are calling 5 times a day-- Please stop calling me.

I am pretty sure this is Premiere Bankcard in South Dakota. We just recently rearranged cell phones in my household and the previous user of my phone had a deliquent account there.

So, is this a debt collector (Rushmore Service Center LLC) or is it a company that received my info. When I got a payday loan from "Check'n Go"? I'm confused by previous post and their website... I have received over eight calls in a day from them. I wish there was a law on how many calls per day or week allowed by Debt collectors!! Since I deletedmy voicemail, they have only called twice during the whole week...now they are not sure what's going on...deleting my v/m through my cell phone co. Has helped a lot. PS I am from Michigan

I have been receiving calls from this number, they don't answer or leave a message. This is very annoying
JBR70 2014-02-19 02:21:17 Unknown
Wrong!! I have an atty that let's me pay him out and I did file suit against a collector and won. The FTC was a witness in my case. So people CAN win and get these collection agencies to follow the law!!!
