why do i get these calls?

I have a phone with Time Warner cable and they charged me long distance for the duration of this conference call. The scam is ... I wasn't given the 605 area code to call in. I was given an 800 number for it instead. They are masking their number. It only registers as a long distance call on your bill. Scam!!!

Tell people not to use this company for their "free" conference calls. It's not free. The company charges the people who are dialing in.

check out the phone company they are using for collecting access charges from other phone companies.  I think it is a scam for collecting cash from phone companies.  There was a similar scam offering free overseas calling a few years ago.

This number is from freeconferencecall.com I signed up for it today and that is the number they gave me. Anyone can sign up for it and you get an account within minutes. Not sure if you can call others with it or not but I know people can call that as long as they have a valid access code and pin

No idea who this is don't know anyone in South Dakota
