just tried calling me twice

this numbercalled my home phone and then called my cell number ..it left a message on my home number of crowd noise.  
these two calls where made on Dec. 9 2008

Called me, saying something about Watchmen and internet address. Called back and said the number was disconnected.

same. some weirdo who has nothing better to do.

Please stop calling my phone.

I got a call from 605 987 9999 and the person hangup.

I was at work and a man from this number called my work number. He sounded professional and wanted to get rid of "chemicals that are used to flavor food", but then he kept changing his story saying it may or may not be hazardous and/or combustable...my boss then talked to him and told him he could not bring this stuff to dump by us. WEIRDO!!!

I received a call from this number. The I.D. said "South Dakota." I know no one from that frozen pasture, so I can't fathom why I'd get a call from there.

Found a message on my machine - similar to the ones described above. Strange voice in unknown language, room fool of people, a child somewhere in the background. Spooky. I thought that what a call from the netherworld would sound like.

CAN YOU SAY PERV?!!! I HAVE GOTTEN 2 CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER AND THE GUY SOUNDED LIKE HE WAS CALLING FROM PRISON AND HE WAS MOANING IN THE PHONE AND SAID SOME VERY DISTURBING THINGS TO ME. HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT ME, JUST PERVERTED!! WEIRD AND KIND OF SPOOKY! HAPPY HALLOWEEN HUH?
WE LOOKED UP THE NUMBER AND WE FOUND OUT THAT IT COMES FROM CANTON SOUTH DAKOTA. WHAT A JOKE. THIS GUY HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN MAKE PRANK CALLS. THAT WAS SO HIGH SCHOOL!! HE'S PROBABLY SOME FREAK IN HIS BASEMENT WITH ALL THIS ELECTRONIC CRAP DOING WHATEVER. KIND OF THE THE MOVIE FEAR DOT COM!

I am in Austin, this number called me twice this morning, but I didn't answer, because the number is like a commercial number---9999, so I check the website and found this web, my God, it's ring again---

Live in Ontario and started getting these calls 4 days ago ... on my cell and home number ... I don't understand the purpose of the calls??

Am in Montreal and just got a call today, was left on voice mail, it just hung up... Weird...I wish somoeone would investigate this...

I have a friend that uses a special phone plan for long distance calls and when she called me this was the # that came up on my caller ID.
I think when they use their plan it re-routes the call through this number..
Whatever works..

I got a call few minutes ago. I didn't answer and no message was left. I'm from Montreal. Kind of scary...

I just signed up for a pre-paid toll free number that would forward calls to my cell phone.  All the numbers coming into my cell phone from this toll free line are from 605-987-9999.  The call data on my account show the actual numbers that were dialed from and they were all questionable except for a couple. Is it possible for call forwarding to mix up lines?  Is this the reason I'm getting all these weird calls?

A friend just used to call from overseas.
But many times it will be more like what you have found... lots of crank callers out there. I don't understand what they get out of wasting money doing this..

i received a call this morning from this number. no message was left, so i decided to google the number and found this site.

I just recieved a phone call from this number asking for a someone with the same last name as myself.  They asked for me by name but wanted to know if I knew someone else.  I was curious who it was so I googled it and this website came up.  Very strange.

Just got called and missed 2 calls from this number - googled the area code and saw it was from South Dakota - I didn't know anyone from there so I googled the whole # and got this site.

received call today from 605 987 9999.  Very rude person on other end which called me a choice name then hung up. Subsequently, started receiving calls from creditors asking if I had applied for mortgages or other credit.  So be careful out there.

We live in Germany and we received a call from this number at 9:30 pm our time.  We didn't answer, but caller ID gave the number.  Since we don't know anyone in South Dakota, I googled this number and got this website.  Very interesting!
