The only way that you could ever be held accountable for a payday loan or other scam, is if you really took it out and didn't pay it. But you can't go to jail for a payday loan, because it's a LOAN. I am not saying anything to disrespect you, it just irritates me that these people call innocent people who have no clue what they are talking about. I got the same call one time and they told me that I was going to be "picked up" by the police on Friday. I asked the man if he was an idiot and he said "yes I am from India", I thought these people are really stupid. So I tracked the number to San Francisco and called the local police for that area. They initiated an investigation because other people had complained. The Police told me that the number was from some offshore island not in the USA and they use some kind of phone system with USA numbers. I am a retired cop and I really got the caller upset when I told him I was recording the conversation and he kept telling me I was breaking the law. I told him to look in the mirror about law breakers, and he need to read the Kentucky law about recording phone calls, a two party call can record the conversation legally. They are just criminals.

I have received this same call - 2 weeks ago from this number.  they almost had me - that i owe 8,000 but if i pay 350 for their "client" today they will be happy for that.  I went to the police dept. because i was REALLY creeped out they had my info.  once the police assured me that i was not going to jail within a day i called back and started asking some questions.  told them to send me an invoice or something, they refuse.  told them to send me an email they refused. said that they had sent "17 request for payment to my email with no reply that probably went to spam" wouldn't give me any info on their "client" other than America Cash Advance, that its forbidden for me to call them. I told "Anna" the so called head attorney who was waiting for me to call her back that i was not paying anything until i saw a bill or collection notice.  she hung up on me - I called back and a man answered another "head atty" at the "John Martin" legal firm in KY (doesn't exist) and he told me i was a stupid b@#$%.  i kept calling back they kept hanging up.  now i get calls from a whole different number - same script.

Please let us know your findings and if we have any recourse as they are calling our employers!

Yeah so, I asked these f**s for a case number after they threatened to have me arrested and they hung up.
They're not too fond of being called out on their lies. They hang up everytime.

They called me yesterday and today. I finally called back asked what it was about...It's about a payday loan I took out w/ US cash today and I owe 791.00. I asked when did I take this payday loan out? He got angry and said "you should know that miss"...Um if you're suing me and putting me in jail you SHOULD KNOW THAT INFORMATION!!! I haven't taken any loans out with US cash or anyone else. But they have mountains of paperwork and are ready to press charges. When I started asking questions he got mad and hung up! Then I called back and told them I was reporting them to the FTC, they hung up again. Why can't they trace the # and shut these people down??? They call me at work and on my cell constantly. I have no patience and it seems everyone gets the same line you're going to jail...LOL Maybe we should all call them one day and tell them they're going to jail see how they like it.

I'm gaving same issues I called back asking when did I get this pay day loan etc. They said I will be arested tomorrow morning @ my job! i got the same call early this morning a man told me i got an 1800 dollar loan and started telling me my ss number and bank info and i went to the police bc the man that called told me i was goin to jail the man wouldnt tell me when i got the loan or how and when i asked ot speak to his boss he said they didnt want to talk to me and i needed to find a lawer and fast and i was getting picked up tomorrow morning and i filed papers with the police changed my number closed my bank account and also filed papers for identity theft so now i am hoping its all over who lets people do s*** like that its wrong something needs to happen with those people  the number was 606 259 0539 watch out people and dont answer the phone just call the police and get ready to change everything that day

Same thing. Guy states that some loan place called advance America is wanting to take me to court due to some type of loan that i got... I've never gotten a loan before or have I heard of this place. So I messed around with the guy, he wanted me to wire transfer some money, so i act like I was wire transferring the money to the account information which he said and I kept telling him it didn't work. Gave him a hell of a time. After all that I gave the phone to a friend of mine who acted like a lawyer and the guy hung up right away.

I just received a call from my place of employment from a "Roger Davis" with John & Martin Associates.  He speaks with a very heavy accent and says that he needs my attorney's phone # to pursue me for a criminal act.  I haven't done a thing.  He gave the callback # of 606-259-0539.  This is definitely a scam!

i am someone who has been getting calls from 606 259 0539  i am getting calls saying i am goin to jail tomorrow for money i never got and for loans i didnt sign up for i went to police department and filed a report and also completeing a id theft affaidavit and now i have to check my credit shut down my bank account bc they over drew it 200 dollars and i still aint dont watch out for scamms i even got called a terrorist and have been harraseed all day and threatemed

I took a loan out months ago now some indian non speaking person saying the us marshalls  are coming to my job and having me taken to court. For a 800.00 loan I never took out  and from a company I nevrr heardvoff. Supposed to calling from an attorneys office.

The exact thing happened to me. After I told them I was calling the police I didnt get a call for a few days. But I just got one today from a new number but same voice.

Did they have your current addresses and place of employment? And how can you find out if someone were to issue a warrant ?

OMG...so they call me from 7606248866 and i kept talking asking questions they got louder and louder finally said listen the marshall are coming to your work and you will be arrested i said oh great i can't wait...phone went silent than hung up. called me back from 6062590539 with same issue i said i'm an attorney they hung up!!...really!! WOW!

This number has been harrassing me saying ill be arrested on April 29 th  for a payday loan called advance America I dnt have a loan threw them on with cash express the guys name is brian they said that a loan officer was coming to mt job u can't understand them

these people just called my house.. They need to be reported immediately , they even called me an criminal. they said i took out a loan that i know nothing about. I'm ready to get an attorney. these people are frauds

My coworker has had the same thing happening to her. The only thing we can think of is a lot of these scams happen to people who have taken out payday loans in the past. I think this is how they are getting there info.

Got the same story about owing 791 or I would be arrested. I will be talling my attorney.

this man and lady is calling me after hour and during business hour saying they are going to serve me with papers and so on..

they called my job and stated i was going to jail on friday and hung up

So these guys keep calling me and have only told me that I owe them $791 from an old loan yet can't tell me who the "loan" was thru, when it was taken, or how much the "loan" was for. They hung up on me when I asked to speak with someone that spoke better English then when I called back they immediately said "f*** you bit**" and I called back again and they just said "suck my di**" and hung up again. I called the police and they spoke with them and got the same attitude from them that I did. We conferences with them also and they said they would be showing up with an arrest warrant tomorrow but as soon as the officer spoke up they asked for his badge number for their "records" and then put us on hold and never returned.

The officer agreed this is a scam to get money out of people and we will be pressing charges on them!

Please let me know what you come up with.  I have been tthreated and I need someone in that STATE to assist me with these people.

I have received several calls from them starting back since last month.  Some how they have received information on me and has been calling me.  I was informed that they needed to serve me with legal papers and they need to serve them to me.  I informed them to stop calling and just serve whatever it is they need to serve.  The female at the time (last month) called me "stupid" and hung up.  Now this month they are starting again.  I received a call on last Friday about having papers served to me, I told the male to go ahead and do whatever it is and besides he could not tell me what is was.  I got furious with him as he started to blurt my social security number out over the phone.  I informed him that he has violated my privacy by doing that and I informed him that I was going to get an attorney, he immediatedly hung up the phone.  I began to call them repeatedly and harrass them about their business and they then blocked my number.  Well on today they started again and called me at my place of employment and were very rude.  I then called and started asking questions again trying to get infromation from their business and they refused and began to hang up the phone.   After numerous calls to them, they became very upset and the man informed me that he can MAKE MY LIFE MISERABLE.  He threatened me! I don't take kindness to a threat and especially when they are of another language that I can't understand, I am definitely looking for the company and or mailing address to get my attorney on this matter asap and/or issuring that my information is not used for funding other inappropriate things!
