YOU need to report that to someone ASAP... chec your credit.  NEVER give your SSN over the phone to ANYBODY for ANY reason what-so-ever.  NEVER give banking info, either (routing numbers or bank account numbers).  You've had your identity stolen... straight up.  It could affect you immediately, or take a few months, but you need to start monitoring your credit.  Call a lawyer, or seek advice from a financial counsellor.... you're going to need it.  Good luck...

NEVER give your social security number.  IRS would send you a letter; not a phone call.

I received that same pre-recorded message....something about the IRS and a program from Obama blablabla

FBI or FCC should do something about it. They are there to protect innocent american citizen right?
They can easily get these scammers. Put them in jail and broadcast their names and photo on the newspapers for all to read and learn who they were.

Called left no message, posts indicate a scam about paying off past tax debt that the person doesn't have.

They called my phone, didn't answer. Called back same thing press 2 to talk with someone and it says VM full, if this was a true collector from the IRS you know they would be answering!! Just saying.  Also if it was the IRS or any debt collector they would of left a message!!!

NEVER NEVER NEVER give your social security number to someone over the phone like that. You're leaving yourself open to identity theft.

This # just called my cell phone regarding eliminating my back taxes (of which I do not have).  What happened with the "Do not call" list?

dont take this wrong..you must be stupid to give out any infomation over the phone and more stupid to post it here for everyone to read

When I called the number back it clearly states that "I have been contacted for telemarketing purposes".  Why would you openly give them any of your information.  and then they ask you if you want to be put on their do not call list and that's what I did with my phone #.  says it will be taken off their list within 72 hours.  NEVER give your information to someone you don't know.

Just received a call from these fools too. I just don't answer. The "spoofed" numbers have a certain look to them in my Verizon iPhone. When I see them, I just  let them hang up, then check this site. Sure thing, the # was right at the top of the list. Don't ever call them back, that just lets them know you have a valid phone #. I feel bad for the lady who gave her personal info to them. You haved been totally hacked! You need to call the ss dept. to have your # flagged for fraud, and the three credit agencies also. Your bank most likely not back you up because you turned your info over to them. I wish you good luck, I'll send good vibes your way also. Sometimes we have to learn the hard way. Got a call a few days ago.  Called it back to remove my number.  Not a single call since then.

Wow, you gave him your SSN, Name and DOB.  You're screwed.  The IRS would have that information already.  Welcome to a world of pain because your identity has been stolen.

The person called and said that they were call from the internal revenue regarding back taxes that i owe. I gave them my social securtiy number, address and date of birth. They stated they were going to connect me to a representative and i was disconected. when I called the number back and voice mail came on and said press 1 if you would like to speak to a reprentative and they it states that the voicemail is full.

This number has called me 3 times and each time states some back tax debt that is due! Scam....

Just got a call from this number and they left a message regarding some sort of back tax debt program. Some sort of soliciation.

i GET THESE CALLS AT LEAST 3-4 TIMES A DAY ON MY CELL PHONE, I AM ON THE NO CALL LIST, BUT THIS DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO SCAMMERS.... I WILL NEVER ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS FROM PHONE NUMBERS I DONT KNOW, SO PLEASE STOP CALLING YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME WITH ME..

Block the number.

Keep calling me, but never leave a message. I don't know anyone from this are code. I wish the FBI or someone would put a stop to these scams.
