We got a call from this number and all it said was "New York Caller". I answered because I was expecting a call my my cousin in Rochester. The caller asked for me by name, and started giving me a schpiel about donating to some sort of breast cancer research. The woman talked so fast I could barely understand her. So either it's a charity scam or a phone banking operation for a charity which has bought a list on names and phone numbers from some political group.

called me tonight and left no message. I'm so sick of these people I could scream. Must be some type of off-the-wall charity. Those are the only calls I get on my home phone number, everything else is on the cell. I have several groups I donate to regularly, but I certainly wouldn't give to one of these infuriating callers.

As with others...
Call came in at 8:48pm, did not answer, let it roll to answering machine. They left no message. Caller-ID shows "Unavailable".

Answered call at 8:14 p.m. Woman asked "Is Robin there?" I lied and said no, would you like to leave a message? Caller said "No" and hung up. I don't know anyone in Ithaca NY (I live in WA state)and knew this had to be some kind of sell. They'll undoubtedly call again. How do you get off these lists when they masquerade as charities?

Called home (Missouri) and asked for wife by name. Refused to tell me the purpose of the call. Said he would call back. Never did call back.

Call came from Ithaca, N.Y. to Kansas at 20:17 hours (illegal) CDT on 5-30-11. Call not answered and no message left. Outside sources advise that this number is in the call number bank for Donor Services. Goodbye, and have a quality day.
