If they are fake why is it so hard to have them closed down. They are a licensed agency that handles both collections and pre-legal suits and their address and license number are on their WEBSITE. YES they have a legit WEBSITE and if you were smart you would stop trying to find away out of your debt and pay it. Call the original creditor they will refer you too them if they really have your account. You should all feel like scum. Pay your bills losers. I would hate to see all your credit reports. If they were illegal it would be really easy to shut them down being they provide their ADDRESS on their WEBSITE which can be VERIFIED by the LAW  @ lawenforcment you should learn the laws before you try and enforce them. I heard your field don't pay that much. That's why you can relate. YOUR  a DEBTOR too.....................

"Mrs. Delgado" is not Admin and therefore knows nothing of anyone's IP address. "Mrs. Delgado" has not been "scammed in any way" because s/he gets her paychecks from this vile-sounding collector. I'm sure this RJ can make a "fees-able arrangement" in the sense that it will be able to extract fees at will if you're dumb enough to reveal your bank accounts. What will not be feasible is their ability to defend extortionist tactics in a FDCPA suit. Political party affiliation has no bearing when some creepy collection agency is denying your rights.

You should stop leading people in the wrong direction. Your IP Address is coming back to 50% of these comments. They are the agency that has my acct now that I am paying and have not scammed me in any way. They work directly with my attorney to get me on a fees-able payment arrangement.  PAY YOUR BILLS LOSERS. BET YOUR ALL DEMOCRATS.

What's accepted by the BBB are membership fees. As for what's legal, read all about how debt collection gets done the wrong way straight from the Feds.

By all means, please distract us all from the FTC alert Alfalfa posted a whole day before your next attempt to scare all the readers here. No, we didn't make a dumb borrower mistake and "I'm sure a lot of us are guilty" only of knowing we have rights when some clown makes false accusations regarding debt.

No, you "would much rather pay" nothing toward a fake debt, which it must be for anyone to resort to cheap extortionist tactics. Now stop the fear campaign, shill.

A message was left on vm about check fraud.  NOT TRUE.  Threatened process servers to where I work.
Called family members and after being asked nicely not to call any more kept calling up to 15 times  consecutively and then threatening them by knowing their personal information.  This just can't be accepted practices by the BBB.  Not to mention "is it legal?"

I spoke to the company RJ Cap. After calling the company on the court documents, they transferred me to RJ.The original creditor refused to speak with me and would only refer me back to this company. Wouldn't even tell me if they have a case against me. When I finally spoke to someone at this company they agreed to give me a "out of court settle"that's 2x the  amount of the loan i received and the fees they supposedly charge. Claiming I refused a previous offer that I NEVER EVEN RECEIVED. Is there any laws against how much these company's can charge you for these loans. I didn't really read the fine print as I'm sure a lot of us are guilty of but over %100 interested. Is this really legal??

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

This company called me didn't leave a voice mail and a week later they have a sheriff at my job with court papers. Do I have to attend this court date if I offer to pay whatever bill they have in my name.I talk to a lady and she tells me she can legally no longer discuss this with me.Than who do i talk to? Now every time i call this number I get the voice mail for a Christine who doesn't return any of my calls. Anyone have another number to contact this company. I would much rather pay any debt than to miss work for court. Can't pay anything with NO JOB.
